Hotels

I am staying the night in the city of Detroit?

(for sure! we may even let you leave...)

Truth be told Downtown Detroit has some world class hotels.

(and some that still rent by the hour - ahem...)

Ban and I are going to recommend some of our favorites in Downtown. We will also provide some that are in the suburban Detroit areas, but those will require a car for travel.

Staying Downtown

Greektown Casino

This hotel is located perfectly and will have a block of reserved rooms under the Clark Wedding. Located in Greek Town - the place people go when they don't know where to go. Hell its gotta Casino in it!

The boutiques

Below you will find some of the finest hotels anywhere. These are our absolute favorites and you cannot go wrong staying in any one of them. Treat yourself you will not be sorry.

Shinola Hotel

Located on the original drag - Woodward Avenue. This modern hotel is a cool maze of buildings with a shop that sells its Made in Detroit luxury watches and leather goods. The main store just a bit away sells bikes too, if you need a sweet ride.

Foundation Hotel

I am not sure I can state how much I love this place. A little bit outside of the hustle and bustle, but still super close to the action. This hotel is oozing style, originally a firehouse and filled with history on every floor. Dining or a Drink in the Apparatus Room is a must.

Aloft at the Whitney

Even if you do not stay here - though you should - you really need to see one of the most beautiful and grand lobbies in the city. They spent 95 Million dollars returning this gorgeous building to its 1915 opulence.

In the burbs

So you are thinking the excitement of Detroit just might kill ya?

(or at least a mild mugging)

Just kidding you will be perfectly safe in Downtown, you will be pleasantly surprised how beautiful and clean our downtown is. But if for whatever reason you want to stay in the burbs these are some of the places you may want to try.

Royal Park Hotel (Rochester)

High end hotel with excellent service and great bar. This hotel is short walking distance from small downtown area, with many shops, restaurants and bars.

(50 Mins to venue - 60 Mins to DTW)

Troy Michigan

There are many quality hotels just off of I-75 in Troy Michigan. This is one of the burb'iest burbs in Michigan and super close to high end shopping at the Somerset Collection.

(40 Mins to Venue - 50 Mins to DTW)
