Ben and Simran met in 2012, on the first day of high school at KAMSC. Over the next few months, they bonded over their shared love for nerdy jokes and found themselves in the same circle of friends. In 2014, they started dating and have been inseparable since!

As their high school journey progressed, Ben and Simran cherished every moment together - including prom! Soon enough, they would graduate and head off to Kalamazoo College.

In their sophomore year at Kollege, Ben and Simran excitedly embarked on their study abroad adventure to Madrid, Spain, where they attempted to master the Spanish language, but mostly ended up with hilarious mispronunciations! They took classes during the week, and jetted off to adventures on the weekends. Their favorite trip was to Keukenhof Gardens in the Netherlands.

Four years quickly flew by. Ben and Simran (virtually) graduated in June 2020! Simran graduated with a major in Biology, while Ben, the overachiever, graduated with a double major in Math and Physics.

In September 2020, Ben began his masters in engineering at WMU, while working part time as an engineering intern. His third role, most important of all, was providing love, encouragement, and support during the most stressful transition of Simran’s life - starting medical school at WMed!

In early September 2022, Ben was offered an engineering position at Parker Hannifin, which would start in December. Ben and Simran quickly realized that their tentative winter break plans would no longer be feasible, and their next vacation wouldn’t be for another year! And so, they planned a last minute trip to Cancún. On the first evening of the trip, September 29th, Ben proposed. Overwhelmed with joy and excitement, Simran immediately said "YES!"
