Ceremony + Reception
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony will be held outside, with the reception to follow inside the lodge.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please try to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the wedding ceremony.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is semi-formal. The ceremony is in early October, so anticipate Iowa fall weather.
Will there be a dinner?
There will be hors d'oeuvres, finger foods, and cupcakes during the reception!
Is alcohol provided/allowed?
We are hosting a "dry" event, so there is no alcohol provided and we ask that guests do not bring any alcoholic beverages.
What time does the reception end?
The reception will end at 9pm.

May I take photos?
We welcome guests taking photos, but ask that you please do not use flash or interfere with the wedding photographer while she works (i.e. avoid sticking your phone or camera out into the aisle).
May I bring a plus 1?
To be mindful of the intimate atmosphere of the wedding, we ask that you please limit your party to those listed on your invitation.
Are children allowed?
Yes, this is a child-friendly event! We will have several different activities available for children during the ceremony and reception, and there is a playground near the venue that they are welcome to use.
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
Yes! Please use the hashtag #BrandtstealstheHart in any images so we can see them!
