Allie and Brady like to tell people they met the Old Fashioned Way: through online dating.

After many 'fine' dates with other folk, but nothing that blew their socks off, Allie and Brady matched on Hinge (that's a fancy-schmancy dating app, for all the beloved luddites stopping by here...). Allie sent Brady a coy message of 'hey there.' He was intrigued, and appreciated the initial contact on her part.

They met in June of 2015 for their first date at The Happiest Hour. The date was easy, conversation flowed, sparks flew. At the end of it, Brady invited Allie out for a second date on the spot, for later next week. Allie accepted .

However, that was almost the end of it. They planned to go out to dinner the next Friday; Brady texted, inquiring about dietary preferences, etc; Allie replied. Only, Brady never got the text... On the Thursday before, Allie wrote again, checking in about details for tomorrow. Brady apologized--when he hadn't heard back all week, he thought the date was off and had made other plans. Screenshots were exchanged, laughs were had.

Oh, technology...

"Screw it, we're making it work"--Brady decided to go to his thing anyway (a scavenger hunt in the MoMA), and then would meet Allie for dinner after. As a harbinger of good things to come, Brady and his team won first place at the scavenger hunt. He left the reverie early, though, to go to dinner with a wonderful woman.

Since then there've been many more great dates, plentiful happy memories, and thankfully few technological mishaps. The above photo was taken on one of their early dates, on the West Side Highway in NYC...the earliest photo of the two of them either of them could find.

A little over a year later, on the Cliff Path in Small Point, Maine, overlooking Big Beach, Brady asked Allie to marry him. For those wondering, yes, Maisy was there as a witness to the whole thing.

Maine has been a special place throughout their relationship, and they couldn't be more excited to share it with you all.
