Our Story

About Us


Brandon and Destinee's love story began with a swipe right on Hinge (a dating app) in late August, to early September 2023. What started as casual conversations quickly turned into something deeper. After a week of chatting on the app, Destinee bravely took the lead and shared her number on September 23, 2023, at 11:58 AM because Brandon, admittedly, was too nervous to ask first! From that moment, their connection blossomed into a beautiful relationship filled with laughter, shared dreams, and unwavering support. Now, they’re excited to start their forever together, and they are grateful for the app that brought them into each other’s lives and the grace of God that sustained their relationship.

On September 11, 2023, after Brandon's grandfather passed away, he returned to Hinge to grab Destinee's attention. He was nervous and scared to ask for Destinee's number, but as he gathered the courage to ask, she texted him. Boy, was he excited! He wasted no time and texted her!

So after a few weeks of texting and talking on the phone, Brandon and Destinee decided to meet for a date in person for the first time. The date lasted at least 4 hours.

Brandon learned that Destinee liked football and a Saints fan (huge plus). He was already attending the Saints game as part of his birthday celebration. He decided to invite her to the festivities. There she met one of Brandon’s longtime friends and church members, Giselle Robinson. Instantly approved by Giselle. It was then, Brandon knew he was getting himself into a situation worth developing.

Brandon had some birthday plans to go to the Global Wildlife Center for his birthday with Brice and Ansliegh Usey. Brandon for the first time spent Thanksgiving away from friends and family and spent it with Destinee and her family. It was a great time and their bond grew stronger.

Destinee obviously captured Brandon’s heart and he loves spending time with her. They planned a date to Outpost 45 then an evening at Christmas in the Oaks.

Coming into the new Year, Brandon and Destinee were invited to the Christopher Tableau and Ball by Grace Landry (church member with Brandon) who was being crowned Queen that year. They had lots a fun and looked stunning all dressed up.

With the help of Denise and Dawn, we were able to get her to the church. Once he got into the church, he originally proposed with a ring pop. That didn’t go over well then the real ring came. She said yes and now they are planning a wedding

Brandon had a whole production in place to pull off the proposal. He told Destinee along with their friends that he was hosting an Ugly Sweater Christmas party. Once the day came and there was “not much seating,” his excuse to get Destinee out of the house was to go to Bayou Christian Church to grab chairs. With the help of Denise and Dawn, we were able to get her to the church. Once he got into the church, he originally proposed with a ring pop. That didn’t go over well then the real ring came. She said yes and now they are planning a wedding
Brandon served in Brice and Ansliegh’s wedding as a groomsmen. He was gracefully accompanied by his beautiful fiancé.

Brandon was installed as Moderator for his church on a regional scale. He loves serving the church and he enjoys having Destinee by his side. She has been by his side for all of his ministry endeavors since they started dating and Brandon loves it. He cannot see himself not doing ministry with Destinee

A few days ago, the couple received their first physical wedding gift from the their registry. Eager to set up the wine bar, they had a challenge but out of Brandon’s frustration, Destinee was determined to fix the issue. And they were successful and happy with the finished product.
