This isnt your typical love story... and the ones who know, know. After losing her sweet girls, Leila and Charlotte, Bree’s brother Colin gifted her a flight to DC with their mom to spend the weekend away from reality. It was at Mattie and Eddie’s, in a booth that held more people than it should have, where the love story began.

Mind you, Bree did not start the night with love at first sight. She was under the impression that he was taken, so she kept to herself, drank a few beers and enjoy the most random game of "Who can name the most bands with a color in their name" that last two hours. (Don't ask, we still don't understand ourselves). After moving to what was known as the horrible pizza place across the way, Bree got a bit more confidence behind her. She learned he was in fact not taken and she slid in his DMs after parting ways for the night.

Then began the constant messaging back and forth, sitting not even two feet from each other watching Six Nations. It only took one day... to learn that Elliott was not the best darts partner. But there she was, catching feelings for the guy from across the pond.

Messaging turned into Bree flying to DC every other weekend for the first three months of 2023. She single handedly kept the Southwest flights from Houston to DC in business. It wasn't until her very last trip, relaxed, walking the National Mall after looking at rocks for three hours, that she knew she was in love with him. And in a later conversation, it was confirmed that Elliott felt the same.

Fast forward a week to St. Patrick's Day, after enjoying a Cody Johnson show at the rodeo that Elliott and Bree were sitting in a bar when a self proclaimed Mexican psychic came over to them and proceeded to say that Bree was madly in love with Elliott and she didnt want to tell him. (If you ask Bree, she thinks Elliott paid her to say that) Elliott kept bringing up the conversation, but Bree was hesitant to take the plunge, not knowing how he felt.

But on March 19th, 2023 - sitting at a bar top table at Social Beer Garden, Elliott dropped a line from Gavin and Stacey and Bree told him that she loved him.. to which he said it back.

Over the next year, Bree and Elliott would fly back and forth between Houston and England, trying to spend as much time together as possible. They knew that they were end game for each other, and that no matter the distance, or the jobs, they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.

This brings them to March 9th, 2024. Elliott had been in Houston no more than 24 hours when they took a sunrise trip to Galveston. Their favorite spot. You couldn't see the sunrise at all, it was freezing cold and windy, but Elliott insisted they stayed until 0730 (am in the morning). He decided that was the perfect time for them to get up and walk along the jetty with a very odd man following them (who later turned out to be very special). Elliott set up Brees phone (that fell over and captured half of the special moment), got down on one knee and asked her to marry him using Nanny Sibley's ring. In her mind she said yes, but her mouth did not follow up saying the word until a week later (but dont worry, Elliott knew that was the answer).

And so the wedding planning began!
