Amber and Brent met online, but quickly realized they had many mutual friends and acquaintances. From the very beginning, they connected over their shared values, similar upbringings, and easy conversation. More than anything, though, Brent consistently showed up, and kept showing up.

They began talking in late September of 2019, and although neither of them was initially looking for anything serious, a mutual friend encouraged them both to give each other a chance. Safe to say, that friend was right, because they have talked every day since. At the time, Brent was hauling windmill blades across the country, so they spent quite a while getting to know each other before finally going on their first date on November 8, 2019.

Early on, Amber joked to a friend, “I think I got myself a boyfriend and I don’t really know how. What do I do with him?” 🤣 As their relationship grew, it became clear they were meant to be together because Amber could be completely and unapologetically herself around Brent, and instead of walking away, he stayed. He always stayed.

Then, at the beginning of the 2025 Sturgis Rally, Brent took Amber on a side-by-side ride to the Nemo Flag in Nemo overlooking the entire town. In true Brent fashion, he said, “I’m not getting down on one knee… will you marry me?” before immediately getting down on one knee anyway. Amber’s response was, “It’s about damn time.” Afterward, they raced back to the house and celebrated the moment with friends over supper. Now, they are excitedly counting down to their “I Do” day on November 7, 2026.
