October 21, 2020

The first date started with dinner at Brazen in Dubuque followed by arcade games at Backpocket Brewery. Heather won at Mario Kart, Brent won at Guitar Hero, and ski-ball was evenly matched!

June 2021

The couple went on their first vacation together to Nashville. Their favorite part was a bourbon tasting and cocktail class at Belle Mead Winery.

March 2022

The couple got their first pets together- 8 baby chicks! Lovingly named Kyleigh, Gina, Kaylee, Britney, Justin Timberlake (JT), Norm, Korey with a K, and Hennifer.

August 2022

Brent found a lost kitten while working in the barn, and thus Sabrina was welcomed into the family. Duncan was very happy to have a little sister with which to both play and snuggle!

October 2022

Off on another vacation! This time to Idaho- which included quite a handful of travel delays and a questionable hotel before getting to spend time with wonderful friends in the mountains. The trip included dinner at Candle in the Woods -a restaurant with a 13 course chef-tasting menu, a trip to the pumpkin patch, lots of drinks, and spending time with Adam and Corrie's herd of goats!

November 2022

Heather and Brent hosted their first holiday at their Saint Olaf home. It was later discovered that the day after Thanksgiving is when Brent asked Heather's parents for her hand in marriage!

December 17, 2022

Brent proposed at the Rotary Lights winter display in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in a secluded pergola overlooking the Mississippi River.

January 19, 2023

The couple added 6 new chicks to the family- Nugget, Drumstick, Colonel, Chickira, Chicky Chicky, and Bang Bang!

May 2023

More pets were added to the little farm! This time- four Nigerian Dwarf goats named Dwight, Mose, Angela, and Pamela after Heather's favorite show- The Office.

June 16, 2023

Brent surprised Heather with a trip to Vegas for her 30th birthday. She didn't know where they were going until standing in the security line at the airport. Then- to add to the surprise- her parents were waiting in the hotel lobby when they arrived!

July 22, 2023

Pooka was adopted into the family! Heather had wanted a red corgi puppy since her teenage years- and Brent helped make yet another dream a reality by welcoming Pooka into their home.

February 9, 2024

Heather coordinated with Brent's friend (and best man) Adam to come to Iowa from Idaho to surprise Brent for his 40th birthday. It was time to repay Brent for his surprise Vegas trip! The weekend ended with a surprise birthday party with Brent's family surrounded by love, laughter, and football.
