We have reserved villas on the property that guests will stay in. We will be in touch soon with more details on who will be staying in each villa. The entire stay will be $450 per person, which is a flat fee for the entire stay (4 nights). Guests will pay Jesse or Bri directly for the cost of their stay, as all accommodation payments must be made for an entire villa at one time.

Passport

Remember to check the expiration of your passport!   If your passport expires in September 2025 or sooner, you will be denied entry.

Traveling to Lagos

Guests have a few options when traveling to Lagos, including: Option 1: Fly to Lisbon. Once you have arrived in Lisbon, you can either (i) fly to Faro, as described below, (ii) take a train directly to Lagos (approximately 3-4 hours), (iii) rent a rental car to drive to Lagos or (iv) coordinate a private transfer to drive you to Casa Monte Cristo, as described below. If you are spending time in Lisbon, we recommend taking the train to Lagos, as it is cheap, reliable and takes about the same time as flying or driving. You can buy tickets 60 days in advance. We recommend booking directly with the train, rather than a 3rd party website. Tickets can be booked here: <a href="https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en</a>. There are multiple train stations in Lisbon ("Lisboa" on the train's website), so look to see which is closest to where you are staying. When you arrive in Lagos, you will be in town and need to uber approximately 8 minutes to Casa Monte Cristo. Option 2: Fly to Faro from a European airport (Faro is a small airport 50 minutes from Lagos). Faro has frequent arrival flights from Lisbon, London, Dublin and many other major cities. Once arriving in Faro you can take an uber, taxi or coordinate a private transfer. We recommend using a private transfer service (85 euro total for up to 4 people or 95 euro total for up to 8 people). Option 3: Fly direct to Faro from New York. United has started offering direct flights to Faro from EWR every other day of the week. Walking

The path has a wooden boardwalk to walk on, lookout points and a few restaurants along the way. Enjoy just a portion of the path, such as walking 2.2 miles from Lagos to the lighthouse at Ponte da Piedade, or walk the entire approximately 6.9 mile route beginning in Lagos and ending in the next town, Luz.

Beaches

Along the coast are a variety of beaches. Praia da Batata is the closest beach to downtown Lagos and connects to Praia dos Estudantes (with the arched bridge featured in the photos below). Many of these beaches can be accessed by walking along the Ponta da Piedade walking path.

Attire and Shoes

It will be very warm in Lagos during the day, so pack warm weather clothing. It may get cooler at night, so light jackets (if you get cold easily) may be advisable. The sidewalks and areas around Casa Monte Cristo and Lagos are made of stone so can be slick and uneven. Many areas of the wedding will also be on grass. Accordingly, we recommend comfortable walking shoes, flats and chunky heels. Attire recommendations have been included in the schedule on the home page.
