Do I need to book a hotel room?
Guests will be staying on site at Casa Monte Cristo, which has a variety of villas (each sleeping 10-14 guests) and a few individual apartments.
What time can I check in?
Everyone arriving on Wednesday can check in at 3pm. If you are arriving after Wednesday, you are welcome to arrive at any time. We will be sharing more information about the Villas once RSVPs have been collected.
What villa am I staying in?
Bri and Jesse will reach out as it gets closer to let all guests know which villa and room they will be staying in.
Travel Questions
What about my passport?
Please verify that your passport does not expire between June and September 2025. You will be refused entry into Portugal if your passport expires on or before September 2025.
How do I get to Casa Monte Cristo?
Please see our travel page for specific details, including suggested flight and other transportation options.
How do I get from the Faro airport to Casa Monte Cristo?
You can either use the Uber or Bolt apps upon arriving at the Faro airport or book a private transfer in advance (we have found that the cost is comparable per person and the private transfer is more convenient for luggage, as some Ubers may be smaller cars and may only accommodate two guests with luggage).
Please email Good Feeling Transfers at goodfeelingtransfers@gmail.com or email VATravel Transfers at info@vatravel.pt or WhatsApp them at +351 963 326 578 to schedule your ride. Both companies are familiar with Casa Monte Cristo and provide a great service.
Will transportation be provided to any events?
Any events taking place at Casa Monte Cristo do not require transportation. Other events, such as dinner in Lagos on Thursday and the Sunday brunch/pool party, will have transportation. We are working on the details and will update the website with those details as it gets closer.
How do I get around Lagos?
If you’re exploring Lagos, the easiest form of transportation is Uber or Bolt. We suggest you download both apps in advance. Cars are generally readily available and, for example, an Uber to downtown Lagos is an approximately 6 minute drive and costs about 9 euros.
Attire and Shoes
It will be very warm in Lagos during the day, so pack warm weather clothing. It may get cooler at night, so light jackets (if you get cold easily) may be advisable.
The sidewalks and areas around Casa Monte Cristo and Lagos are made of stone so can be slick and uneven. Many areas of the wedding will also be on grass. Accordingly, we recommend comfortable walking shoes, flats and chunky heels.
Attire recommendations have been included in the schedule on the home page.
Weather
What is the weather like in Lagos in June?
We expect to have warm weather with minimal rain. The weather should be great for going to the beach and hanging by the pool.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will take place outdoors, most of which will have shade cover available.
