Accommodation

Where to stay?

Arraial d'Ajuda offers a plethora of charming "Pousadas" (boutique hotels) and villas, providing you with a variety of options to suit your preferences.

Arraial d'Ajuda offers a convenient and popular public transportation option called the "Van." For a modest fare of R$5 (approximately 75p), tourists can hop on and off these vans, which are an excellent way to navigate the main road. I'll add more details on this nearer the time.

If you haven't booked your accommodation yet, please consider one of the places in the list below. These are the places where other guests are already staying, so will make arrangements for the wedding day transport easier. Also I went and visited all of these when I was there in July, and they were all amazing.

Villas

Charm Bahia Residencias

So this place is near to the main party street. It's a HUGE "gated community" full of houses, and you book the house (not a room). Most houses sleep 6 people, and you have options with their own private pool (There's a communal one for all the other houses). This will be the Airbnb vibes where you have to take your own food etc.

Pousadas - Boutique Hotels

So these are hotels, so you book the room and most include breakfast.

Pousada Santo Mar- This place here is amazing! We looked at it for the wedding, but it was too small. We have a voucher here for R$1,242, so if you are interested in this one please let us know and Bruna can help you book it directly with them. The location is here is also perfect, near the party street.

Manaca Pousada Parque $ We're staying in this one before the wedding and it's pretty stunning! Also a few people staying here for the wedding weekend.

Baixu Village $$ Several people staying in this one ! The view is to die for, and it's located right on the party street!

Arraial Bangalô Praia Hotel I didn't go to see this one, but reviews look pretty good. This one is nearer to the wedding villa BUT further from the city center.

Booking.com is full of other options, if you can't book in one of these. Just make sure to read reviews- if it looks too good to be true, it probably is!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH SCAMS !

My aunt received this message through booking.com- a few hours later the actual hotel got in contact with her to say they had been hacked! Please be careful with clicking any links like this!
