Carcross is a stunning community an hour south of Whitehorse, and the traditional territory of the Carcross Tagish First Nation. The drive is beautiful and the community makes a great day trip. It sits at the intersection of Nares and Bennett Lakes. There's great hiking, mountain biking, swimming and was an important entry point for miners during the Gold Rush. You can also extend your time and stay at Conrad Campground or Southern Lakes Resort.
