As the wording here suggests, this dress code is slightly less formal than a black-tie wedding. So, a tuxedo isn't required, but can still be worn if preferred. If opting for a suit, however, a formal dark suit, white shirt, and a conservative tie are acceptable. For women, the outfit choices remain the same: a floor-length gown or a dressy pantsuit.
What is the weather like in September in Santa Fe?
As the city transitions into autumn, September brings slight chill to Santa Fe's air. You should expect the high to be in the mid- 70s and the low to be in the mid-40s. With the high elevation, it is important to bring sun protection, regardless of the temperature.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will take place outdoors, but if we were to have poor weather, we will move indoors.
The reception will take place in indoors with the option to open all of the doors for an indoor/outdoor feel.
Should I fly into Santa Fe?
We strongly recommend flying into Albuquerque and then finding transport to Santa Fe (~50 min). The Santa Fe airport is tiny and expensive. (See Transportation page)
