Our Wedding

Lane and I meet in 2022 at college, while hanging out with mutual friends. At the time, I wasn’t looking for a relationship, but little did I know, my best friend was right in front of me. Our connection took some time to develop, and as we spent more time together, I realized just how special he was. Despite the distance between us during the summers when I would go home, our bond only grew stronger. Now, even though we’re six hours apart while attending different colleges, we’ve learned that distance makes the heart grow fonder. Every day, we continue to support and encourage each other, no matter how far apart we are. Throughout our time together, we’ve shared so many unforgettable experiences- four concerts, tagging calves, and a few trips back to Michigan to visit my family. But the most unforgettable moment came when he proposed in front of The Canadian Lake Castle during a double date with my best friend. It was perfect - romantic, meaningful, and completely us. What I love most about Lane is his caring nature and sense of humor. He is always there to lift me up, whether it’s through his encouragement or simply being my shoulder to cry on. I truly can’t imagine my life without him by my side. Together, we’ve created something incredible, and I’m so excited to continue building our lives together. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you and take the next step in this amazing journey!

CALLIE’S SIDE OF THE STORY:

Callie&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;started&nbsp;hanging&nbsp;out&nbsp;with&nbsp;some&nbsp;mutual&nbsp;friends&nbsp;during&nbsp;our&nbsp;time&nbsp;at&nbsp;Northwest&nbsp;College.&nbsp;At&nbsp;the&nbsp;time,&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;nervous&nbsp;and&nbsp;awkward&nbsp;college&nbsp;freshman&nbsp;that&nbsp;was&nbsp;just&nbsp;trying&nbsp;to&nbsp;find&nbsp;some&nbsp;pals.&nbsp;Little&nbsp;did&nbsp;I&nbsp;know&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;would&nbsp;meet&nbsp;my&nbsp;future&nbsp;wife.&nbsp;After&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;card&nbsp;games,&nbsp;movie&nbsp;nights&nbsp;and&nbsp;rodeo&nbsp;watch&nbsp;parties,&nbsp;Callie&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;grew&nbsp;closer&nbsp;and&nbsp;closer.&nbsp; We’ve&nbsp;made&nbsp;it&nbsp;through&nbsp;4&nbsp;concerts,&nbsp;3&nbsp;horse&nbsp;shows,&nbsp;a&nbsp;couple&nbsp;hundred&nbsp;calves&nbsp;tagged,&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;spun&nbsp;out&nbsp;Chevy&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;ditch&nbsp;full&nbsp;of&nbsp;snow&nbsp;and&nbsp;slush&nbsp;(totally&nbsp;my&nbsp;fault&nbsp;😂😂).&nbsp;In&nbsp;Wyoming,&nbsp;it’s&nbsp;a&nbsp;proven&nbsp;fact&nbsp;that&nbsp;a&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;is&nbsp;strong&nbsp;when&nbsp;you&nbsp;can&nbsp;work&nbsp;cows&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;not&nbsp;hate&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;end&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;day.&nbsp;Given&nbsp;that&nbsp;we’ve&nbsp;made&nbsp;it&nbsp;through&nbsp;that&nbsp;test,&nbsp;I’d&nbsp;say&nbsp;I’m&nbsp;pretty&nbsp;stoked&nbsp;to&nbsp;spend&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;my&nbsp;life&nbsp;with&nbsp;her. Being&nbsp;separated&nbsp;by&nbsp;378&nbsp;miles&nbsp;of&nbsp;Wyoming&nbsp;blacktop&nbsp;can&nbsp;be&nbsp;challenging,&nbsp;but&nbsp;it&nbsp;has&nbsp;built&nbsp;our&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;into&nbsp;what&nbsp;it&nbsp;is&nbsp;today,&nbsp;as&nbsp;Callie&nbsp;finishes&nbsp;her&nbsp;equine&nbsp;sciences&nbsp;degrees&nbsp;in&nbsp;Powell&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;continue&nbsp;my&nbsp;education&nbsp;in&nbsp;Laramie.&nbsp;Nonetheless,&nbsp;Callie's&nbsp;positive&nbsp;attitude,&nbsp;amazing&nbsp;sense&nbsp;of&nbsp;humor,&nbsp;and&nbsp;warming&nbsp;affection&nbsp;makes&nbsp;me&nbsp;fall&nbsp;for&nbsp;her&nbsp;day&nbsp;after&nbsp;day.&nbsp;Through&nbsp;the&nbsp;good&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;bad,&nbsp;she&nbsp;has&nbsp;kept&nbsp;me&nbsp;in&nbsp;line,&nbsp;pushed&nbsp;me,&nbsp;and&nbsp;supported&nbsp;me&nbsp;throughout&nbsp;all&nbsp;of&nbsp;my&nbsp;endeavors. We&nbsp;are&nbsp;thrilled&nbsp;to&nbsp;have&nbsp;all&nbsp;y'all&nbsp;celebrate&nbsp;our&nbsp;big&nbsp;day&nbsp;with&nbsp;us&nbsp;as&nbsp;we&nbsp;take&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;huge&nbsp;step&nbsp;towards&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;lives.
