Our Celebration will be a California Beach Wedding! Literally, it will be on the sand at the amazing Breaker's Beach located on the North Island Naval Air Station, Coronado, California, starting at 3:30pm.
Our Wedding will be on an active Military Base. To attend, everyone 18 years old or over MUST be vetted by the Base Security.
What does that mean? If you are a US Citizen and do not have a criminal record - this will be easy. (If you are a lawyer, it might get dicey... :). Essentially, you have to register for entry onto the base and agree to a background check. THIS MUST BE DONE BY 28 FEBRUARY in order to attend our wedding.
If you are retired military, active or reservist, or have a CAC card being a government civilian or contractor, you already have access to the base and do not need to do anything more.
For ALL others, you MUST go to the DBIS pre-enrollment web site by 28 February at:
https://dbids-global-enroll.dmdc.mil/preenrollui/
This will connect you to an online, encrypted web site where you will enter specific information to Base Security. The information will only be between you and the Government Security personnel. Every person in your party 18 or older must have individual submissions.
You will be asked to provide specific, personal information:
- Your full name, date of birth, Social Security Number, drivers license number/State, where you were born, and your citizenship
- Gender info: sex, ethnicity, hair color, height & weight, occupation
- Current address, phone number, and email
- Sponsor: Fill in my name, email, and phone number.:
Richard Caccese
rich.caccese@yahoo.com
619-921-3888
- Site location: Fill in the following:
-- under Service, select "Navy"
-- under State: select "California"
-- under Sites: type Naval Base Coronado
-- under Dates visit: select 17 May 2025 for both the start and finish dates (If you will be part of the wedding party, enter the start date as May 16)
-- under Purpose of visit, enter "Wedding at Breakers Beach"
You MUST fill this out for each individual attending our wedding who is 18 and older.
Once submitted, a specific QR code it created, along with an alpa-numeric code. Use the option to save that as a pdf and email Rich the QR code and alpha-numeric code. Rich has to submit a spreadsheet with everyone's QR code, alpha-numeric code by March 1st to the base security office. Rich's email: rich.caccese@yahoo.com
Once cleared, we'll collect the base access passes and you will pick them up as you drive onto the base for our wedding!
Although this is pretty standard information if you interface with the military for any security access, it may seem a bit unnerving if you have never had to do this in the past. We offer that this step is not that intrusive, but it is required to get on the base and attend our Wedding.
