Getting there
Where do I fly into?
Portland International Airport (PDX)
Is there a bus from the airport?
There are three bus options: The CAT, Greyhound an Flix Bus.
There is a bus called the CAT that runs from Gateway transit center to Hood River. The cost is $10 and more information can be found at the website below. Please note that to get to Gateway you will need to use Trimet to take a bus or the MAX (light rail) from the airport to gateway. The fastest way is to take the MAX Red Line. $2.50 ticket. https://www.ridecatbus.org/columbia-gorge-express/

Greyhound runs from the station downtown, which is reachable by Max from the airport. The cost is around $18.

The Flixbus also runs. If you're unfamiliar with Flixbus it is an affordable bus option that has wifi and the option to buy the entire row at a reduced price so you aren't sitting next to someone random. They pick up at the same location as Greyhound at Union Station.
How far is Hood River from Portland?
Hood River is about a 45 minute drive east of Portland along the beautiful Columbia River. The area is called the Columbia River Gorge and it is breathtaking and unlike anything you've seen (if you haven't seen it yet).

There is limited mainstream hotels in the area. Most are boutique hotels and vacation rentals. You will want to look on VRBO and AirBnb and look at lodging in Hood River as well as across the river in White Salmon, Bingen and Underwood. Other options are Pine Grove and Parkdale.

There are so many great little spots in Hood River. Some of our favorites are Double Mountain Brewery, Broder Ost, Egg River Cafe, Sixth St. Bistro, Kickstand Coffee & Kitchen, Celio, Trillium, Farmstand and Sushi Okalani,

What is PNW Cocktail attire?
PNW (Pacific Northwest) is notoriously more casual than it's Midwest and East Coast counterparts. PNW tends to lean more active-wear fancied up even at the most posh restaurants around. This is a come-as-you-are in whatever is your comfort level of fancy-pantsery. It is most likely to be 80 in the day and low 70s as the sun sets, so plan for attire that breathes. The dance floor is outside (unless it rains) but there is A/C inside of the lodge. Originally Cass wanted to do a theme of Something Blue and have everyone wear blue. If you would still like to indulge her she wouldn't say no. (How cool would group pictures be?!)
Cragrat Hut? What is this odd name.
The Cragrat’s are a 501c3 avalanche rescue club. During the off season they rent their lodge. The venue is gorgeous with unbeatable views of Mt. Hood and we love that our money goes to an organization we have trained with and benefit from while spending time on the mountain!
Parking and Shuttles
Parking
The venue is in Hood River, but it is out in beautiful orchards and elevated land. There is very little parking in the lot at the venue, and there is no street parking within over a mile. As such you will want to take one of our shuttles, or reach out if you have needs for parking. We have already accommodated for our mobility impaired guests and vendors to park in the upper lot.
Shuttles (Aka the Party Bus)!
We will be running a 35 person party bus every 20-30 minutes starting at 3:30 until 5pm up to the venue and staring from the venue for the return trip at 8pm with shuttles going when full or every 30 minutes. The two pickup locations are White Salmon park and ride (bottom of the bridge, link below) and 712 Columbia St in Hood River. There is a private shuttle for family and bridal party to get everyone to the venue by 3:30 - we will reach out to you directly to coordinate.
