There are some really lovely parts of Puglia to explore within driving distance.
Ostuni - The White City
We've been to Ostuni a number of times on our trips and have fallen in love with it's cobbled streets, town square, restaurants, gelato shops, and friendly locals
Here's a link with a little more information on the area

Matera - The City of Stones
We haven't been to Matera yet but the City of Stones is famous for it's Sassi - a network of caves that you can venture into. The city transforms at night and looks truly magical - we can't wait to go.
Alberobello - Home of the Trulli
Whilst you'll find Trulli (the round building with conicle roof) at our wedding venue the best place to see them is Alberobello. A charming town made entirely of Trulli. Filled with cute little shops and places to eat and drink. Wear sensible shoes here - the cobbles are smooth and it's easy to slip on the slopes!
Polignano a Mare
We haven't been here yet but if you want a trip to the beach this is one for your hit list - it is also famed for having incredible ice cream! If you really want a unique experience you could treat yourselves to dinner in the famous Grotta Palazzese - an exclusive restaurant in a cliff side cave.
Other places you might like to explore include, Lecce, Monopoli & Gallipoli - let us know if you want any advise on the area.
Whilst youre exploring the area, this part of Italy has a soft drink called Cedrata which is really refreshing, pair it with a Puccia, a local roll filled with ham, sundried tomatoes and mozzarella or a filling of your choice.
There is also a panzarotti which you should try at least once - a cross between a donut and a pizza.
