Chetan and Yuvaram met on the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel; Chetan was Yuvaram’s first date as a gay man, while Chetan had been on the app for many (many) years!

We went to a Mediterranean mezze restaurant, Moona, for our first date in Cambridge back in April, 2018. Chetan fell for Yuvaram’s conviction and dedication to health equity as a kidney doctor, and an advocate for serving the underserved. Yuvaram enjoyed learning about Chetan’s grit and determination as a co-founder of a mental health start-up. We enjoyed the dinner so much that we decided to go for ice cream afterwards and head back to Chetan’s house to play a board game, Pandemic - an early sign of our joint love for hosting game nights with friends. They played Pandemic until just past midnight, after which Yuvaram headed home, taking a long stroll across the Charles River.
