FAQs

Can I bring a guest?

Only if they are invited or you are given a plus one. Please respect that no uninvited guests and/or plus ones should attend our wedding.

Can I bring my child?

No children please! Unless your child is involved or specifically invited. We love you and your little ones! However, we can’t redo our I-dos. If you feel your child cannot sit calmly and completely quietly for a 30-45 minute ceremony please plan accordingly.

Will the Bride and Groom be around after the wedding?

Yes! We plan to stay in town and take a few days off of work after the wedding. We would love to spend time with those have traveled to be with us and we will not immediately be leaving for a honeymoon. However, if you are truly looking for more one-on-one time, please know that we will be splitting time amongst all loved ones. We know some friends and family live far away and we will do our best to enjoy everyone, but if you don't get quality time, please do not take offense. We do have multiple guest rooms and are happy to host you another time!

What if it rains?

Please see "Ceremony Information" for our full rain plan, but basically we will be shifting an hour later if needed, moving indoors if a hard downpour is expected, or proceeding outdoors if its just a very light drizzle. Please feel free to use small clear umbrellas and/or ponchos in this case. We will have a small supply of these (including some for our wedding party), but it is best to bring your own if you want one. Think like what you would throw in your bag for Disney or while traveling to keep walking around. We also have planned about 2 hours between our ceremony and our cocktail hour for travel, and to allow people to change, dust off, and even shower if they desire. The dress code remains the same. Please also note that it may look like its going to rain or the morning may have a HUGE rainstorm and then it could be clear by the afternoon.

Should I be worried about wildlife (i.e. Alligators or snakes)?

We don't think you should be worried. Yes, we have gators here as well as dolphins, manatees, sharks, sea turtles, seagulls, and big ol' bugs. The likelihood you will come in contact with anything larger than a mosquito is not high at all. We do love our wildlife and wish we saw it more and as people who live here and take great advantage of our beaches, bayous, parks, and more, you likely won't see anything you don't seek out. If you want to see anything in particular, please see "Things to Do" :)

Where should I stay?

Please check the travel page.

What should I wear?

Please see the dress code page for more details/inspiration. Formal tropical looks are the goal. Linen suits, floral dresses, bright colors, etc. You will not get wet and the weather will not be too hot. Dresses, Jumpsuits, and Pants should preferably be worn not shorts. Full suits are not required. This will be a TOES IN THE SAND ceremony. Please plan accordingly with your shoe choices. You can take them off for the ceremony and can will have ample time to rinse and/or dust off before the cocktail hour and reception. Please bring sunglasses.

Can I stay with you?

If you're checking here...probably not ;) but any other time we would love to host you!
