He texted me that he could see us together as ~more than friends~ after meeting each other a week previously and I wholeheartedly agreed. We said we would take it slow but our hearts won over our heads. This is from our first year together!

I put together a last minute (as in 2 weeks prior to leaving) trip to Kauai shortly after we had finished our 4th year of medical school. We had our first surfing lesson and incredible food!

I had left to pick us up Q39 (BBQ) and when I returned Nick was out on the patio chasing Cleo down to tie the ring around her neck. She was not being cooperative and his cover was blown by the open ring box on the coffee table. Instead he came inside, got down on one knee and we had a beautiful, intimate moment between the 3 of us (Cleo joined after realizing she was safe!)
