Christa and Zach met in September 2013 on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. They met&nbsp;in the East Village before heading &nbsp;to a comedy show.&nbsp;Conversation was awkward at first. Christa had recently read the Four Agreements and had committed to being "impeccable with her word" and was talking minimally.&nbsp; Zach had been advised by his coworker at Island Restaurant to ask lots of questions and let her do all the talking. Crossing the Williamsburg bridge on board the J train, Christa&nbsp;admitted her newly minted personal intention and the distance between them shrank allowing an easy back and forth to begin. They arrived in Bushwick at the comedy show, set up after hours in a coffee shop with cans of PBR on ice for refreshment, already having realized that they had found a special new connection. Midway through the night of comics, one of the joke-tellers, while disparaging the concept of monogamy, singled them out to accuse them of having a happy marriage: "First date actually," one of them replied. Six years later that comedian's act has become prophetic.

Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport

We have booked a block of rooms&nbsp;in the Blue Nose Inn, Stenna Nordica building for $179/night. Check in 9/13, Check out 9/15. Book rooms under the reference "Wroblewski/Huckel-Bauer wedding". This is a Bar Harbor classic hotel with luxurious amenities about a mile from the reception venue. Rooms available with 1 queen-size bed or 2 full-size beds. Must reserve by 8/15 to ensure this group rate.

The Bluenose Inn

The Colony Cottages are a short walk to both the reception venue and five minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor. The cottages are very affordable and quaint with a variety of options for housing 2-6 people.

The Colony Cottages

Major airport for Northeastern Maine. Approximately 1 hour from Bar Harbor. Rental cars are available at this airport. There is also a shuttle to Acadia from this airport that you can arrange to take. If you are arriving in a large group we may have arranged some rides so be in touch regarding your travel arrangements.

Bangor International Airport

Free shuttle service operating all over the Island taking you to many of the best hikes and other destinations. They also operate a free shuttle from Bangor International Airport that is very convenient.

Island Explorer

This option is also only a short walk from the reception in Hull's Cove. Various cottages and single rooms are available. Mention our names for 10% off room rates. The contact person here is named April. It seems adorable!

Acadia is an amazingly rich outdoor playground for youthful and mature adventurers alike. There are more than 120 miles of interconnected hiking trails that range from easy walks to strenuous climbs and nearly every one features a breathtaking view of the rockbound coastline of Downeast Maine. There are also carriage roads for biking, horseback riding, and easy walking. <a href="http://barharborbike.com/">Renting</a> a bike is affordable and it is possible to navigate all of Mount Desert Island with a rented bike and some free rides on the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.exploreacadia.com/" target="_blank">Island Explorer Shuttle</a> bus service. Once you've worked up a little sweat you can find a fresh water pond to throw yourself into or brave the icy Atlantic Ocean at Sand Beach. Or you can just go for a lovely&nbsp;<a href="http://www.acadia.ws/park-loop.htm">drive</a> to take in the sights&nbsp; like Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, and Cadillac Mountain, the first place in the USA that is touched by sunlight in the morning.&nbsp;

We highly recommend that&nbsp;you take advantage of the park since you're coming up for our wedding! A day pass for a single person is $15 while a day pass for a car is $30. If possible, set aside some extra time on Friday or Sunday to enjoy this incredible place (Or come for a week and really do it right!). We plan on hiking and biking the week before the wedding so please let us know if you'd like to link up with us for that!

Acadia National Park

Bar Harbor is a bustling coastal hub in the summertime. It has everything you need for a fun vacation outing. There are loads of great shops, restaurants, ice cream spots, and even&nbsp;<a href="https://reelpizza.com/" target="_blank">Reel Pizza</a>, a pizza cinema that shows popular classics and new releases while you enjoy pizza, beer and their other tasty offerings. Bar Harbor is also a launching-off point for <a href="https://www.barharborwhales.com/" target="_blank">Whale Watching</a>, <a href="https://acadiakayak.com/" target="_blank">Sea Kayaking</a>, and <a href="https://downeastwindjammer.com/" target="_blank">charter sailing</a>. It's a great place to while away a few hours or start out on some pretty epic adventures.

Bar Harbor, ME, USA

Jordan Pond House is a picturesque restaurant featuring fresh popovers and one of the most beloved vistas in Acadia. There is often a line to be seated but it moves fairly quickly and you can take a walk down to Jordan Pond or check out the Park Shop while you wait. There are great biking trails and a variety of hikes close by as well. This attraction is a great option if you've got a some time in the afternoon and you want to sip some tea in a lovely setting after taking a relaxing bike ride or mellow woodland stroll. Parking can be tight and the food is good but pricey.
