Christina and Ryan met the Thanksgiving of 2017. Christina had been doing dog sitting through Rover, but actually came across watching Ryan's dear dog Reginald through a mutual friend, John, who Christina worked with at the Citadel. Being a Bulldog, Reginald was not the easiest house guests, and Christina had to call Ryan with lots of issues. To repay Christina for watching Reginald, Ryan took her out for drinks, and then asked for another date for dinner.

After living in Crested Butte, Colorado previously, Ryan had dreams of returning to the Colorado mountains once he found the right girl. Christina and Ryan took a recon trip to the Colorado mountains in September of 2018, and got their hearts set on their current home of Lake City.

Eager to get to the mountains, Christina and Ryan packed up their RV in October of 2018 and moved out West. Initially settling in South Fork, they would both get jobs at the Wolf Creek Ski Area, while preparing to welcome their son the following Spring.

After getting laid off from their employments during the COVID pandemic, Ryan & Christina saw the opportunity to make the move to Lake City. In the summer of 2020 they bought their current business, Sportsman's BBQ Station, and moved their RV once again. This time, to the Backyard of their new business.

With Ryan's dreams of prospecting, the couple enjoys getting out to their high mountain properties when they can.

On the brief time that they can get away, Christina and Ryan have enjoyed taking cruises to rest and relax. On a family cruise to Honduras and Mexico in May of 2023, Ryan took Christina to the upper deck at nighttime, and popped the question, and Christina said yes :)
