All events that we have planned throughout the week are open to all guests! When available, please view your specific events on the "RSVP" page and respond accordingly.
We have intentionally scheduled our events on either side of standard meal times to encourage guests to try local restaurants. With that said, food and beverage will not be provided at these events unless otherwise stated.
MONDAY
6:00 pm–9:00 pm
Sangeet translates to "sung together".
This is the musical party traditionally used to welcome the groom's family into the bride's home and to commence the wedding celebrations.
Join us to experience upbeat Indian music and dancing!
Attire: traditional Indian encouraged
Food: home-cooked dinner by Mothers of the Bride & Groom

TUESDAY
10:00 am–2:00 pm
Come with us to experience the island as an honorary OBX native through fun activities and visits to some of its most well-known landmarks.
We will post a detailed itinerary as we get closer, but you can look forward to visiting the Currituck Lighthouse, Christina's favorite "make-your-own" t-shirt shop, and much more!
We will be sure to incorporate a break for lunch, so you have the opportunity to try one of our favorite restaurants.
TUESDAY
5:00 pm–7:00 pm
Haldi translates to "turmeric".
This is commonly referred to as the dying party. Family and friends place dye on the bride and groom to rid them of any evil before the wedding.

WEDNESDAY
1:00 pm–4:00 pm
Join us for an afternoon full of outdoor relay games!
We will ask you to form teams with your family and friends to compete in challenges like egg toss, corn hole, beer pong, and even bride + groom trivia!

WEDNESDAY
5:00 pm–8:00 pm
Mehndi translates to "henna", which is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck.
A local artist will come place designs on the bride and her bridal party. This is a way to wish the bride good health and prosperity.

THURSDAY
Tee times will begin at 8:00 am
Join the fathers of the Bride and Groom for a morning tee-time at The Currituck Club!
After RSVP-ing with your contact information and the names of the people in your group, Richard Kennedy (father of the bride) will reach out to you with: (1) your tee time, (2) the individuals in your foursome, and (3) directions for payment.
THURSDAY
6:00 pm–9:00 pm
All guests, please join us at The Currituck Club so that we may welcome you to the island and thank you for the great efforts you made to be there.
We are excited to host you for passed appetizers, beer, and wine. If you would like more than two drinks or liquor options, please bring cash or a credit card for our full cash bar service.
Attire: casual cocktail / dressy casual attire required
Food: passed appetizers
Drink: beer and wine will be provided (full bar available)
FRIDAY
3:45 pm
This is the processional to lead the groom to the "mandap" (altar made of four pillars). He is accompanied by family members, groomsmen, and friends known as "baraatis".
We will encourage ALL guests to participate in this joyous event and lead Andrew to the altar to be married.

FRIDAY
4:00 pm–5:00 pm
We are planning a ~40 minute Hindu ceremony with Andrew's lifelong Guru, followed by a ~15 minute vow and ring-exchange led by our good friend.
Our ceremony will be a unique blend of culture and tradition and we cannot wait to share this beautiful experience with you!
Attire: traditional Indian encouraged, shoes optional
If you choose to wear traditional Indian attire to the ceremony, you will have the opportunity to change outfits prior to the reception. Please see the "Q & A" page for details.
FRIDAY

Our cocktail hour and reception will be held at The Chesapeake directly behind the ceremony location.
