Our Story

We do have a preferred hotel with a block of rooms set up including transportation (see Q+A). We encourage any guests who need accommodations for either Friday night (the night before the wedding) or Saturday night (the night of the wedding) to consider booking at this hotel for a major discount.

Wedding Venue: Old Daley on Crooked Lake

You have until October 20th to get the room block deal. The block discount will apply with a total of at least 10 rooms reserved for Friday, November 19th and 20 for Saturday, November 20th between our guests. The Comfort Inn &amp; Suites has a fitness center, business center, pool, and breakfast included! It is about 20 minutes from the Albany International Airport, and 19 minutes from the venue. A shuttle will be driving guests to and from the wedding if they choose to stay here.

Preferred Hotel: Comfort Inn & Suites East Greenbush - Albany

In the suburbs 20 minutes from the venue. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Free self parking is available onsite. A complimentary buffet breakfast is included.

Another Option: Fairfield Inn & Suites Albany East Greenbush

22 minutes from the venue. Near Crailo State Historic Site. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 6 AM to 9:30 AM.

Another Option: Capital Inn & Suites

22 minutes from the venue. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A complimentary full breakfast is served daily.

Located in the VIA|Port Rotterdam Mall, our indoor aquarium celebrates aquatic biodiversity with exhibits, experiences, and public programs designed to connect people of all ages with our planet’s aquatic creatures. We strongly recommend reserving&nbsp;your tickets online to ensure space will be available for your group.&nbsp;Daily Hours of Operation:11:00 AM – 6:00 PMImportant: Ticket window will close an hour before closing (5:00 PM). Please arrive before 5:00 PM to be admitted to the aquarium. We close daily from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM for cleaning and sanitizing.

Open Monday through Friday, 10 am–4 pm Admission to the New York State Museum is free. However, your support plays a vital role in the success of the Museum’s mission. Suggested donation: $5 per individual or $10 per family.&nbsp;

New York State Museum

Elise is Colin's twin sister, and one of Sarah's best friends! Sarah became friends with Elise in high school and Colin is still waiting for her to offer friendship.

Lucas was Colin's neighbor and was in Sarah's fifth grade class! Lucas and Colin did Taekwondo together since middle school, and they all became friends in high school.

Sierra has known Sarah and Colin for well over a decade! From being neighbors with Colin to being in the same English class as Sarah, to finally being in the same friend group as both of them and helping matchmake, they've gone through a lot together!

Zoey met Colin and Sarah when she joined the UVM Taekwondo team. They bonded while on competitions, and have been kicking each other ever since!

Byron met Sarah when he was less than a day old. He is excited to be playing Groomsman #3.

Peter's other roles include Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Pulitzer in Newsies. He is excited to play Groomsman #4 and hopes you enjoy the show.

Colin and Sarah became friends with Nick freshman year of college, when they all lived in the same dorm, and the three of them got their very first apartment together. Nick has baked several birthday cakes for both of them over the years.

Emily met Sarah in kindergarten, when Sarah announced they would be friends. They have stayed up many nights at sleepovers with Caitlin designing their perfect boy and their perfect wedding.

Caitlin and Sarah were friends and neighbors for most of their childhoods. They stayed up many nights at sleepovers with Emily designing their perfect boy and their perfect wedding.

Katelyn and Sarah were in several plays together throughout middle school and high school, but didn't actually become friends until they reconnected in college. Katelyn's been both Sarah's roommate and landlady, and now they have been bridesmaids for each other!

Michael and Katelyn have the same last name because they are married! Michael was Colin's neighbor along with Spenser, and they reconnected in college, especially when he, Katelyn, Sarah and Colin walked to a beach that was only ten minutes away.
