Brockway Mountain is a gorgeous lookout of Copper Harbor. Go all the way up the drive for even more views of Gitchi-Gami (Lake Superior)

Copper Harbor is a mountain biking destination!! Stop by Keweenaw Adventure Company for details on Copper Harbors trail selection, and there are gravel trails for beginners around town!
In Calumet, Swedetown has great trails as well as Michigan Tech trails in Houghton!
There are a number of fishing charters in the area, Bella Vista Motel operates one. For shore fishing in Copper Harbor, the marina or waterfront by downtown are worth a shot! If you are staying at the Bella Vista they have some poles for guests.
We love bird watching (especially Kara)! Go on a hike and bring your binoculars and a bird identification book if you have one!

Bete Grise is Connor, Kara, and Ripley's favorite beach! Beautiful sandy public beach and a place to catch the sunrise :)
Great Sand Bay is another beautiful sandy beach close to Copper Harbor with good sunsets!
The water will be cold but less buggy in Lake Superior, if you are looking for warmer water also check out the inland lakes such as Lake Fanny Hooe or Lake Manganese in Copper Harbor.
Thimbleberry cake donut is where it's at!! Try some pannukkaku (Finnish pancake) too!
The Genny is the place for snacks, beer to go, and light grocery shopping. They also have a farmstand from Lake Effect Farm, the local Copper Harbor farm.
