"Hi Connor, how are you?"

Hook, line, and sinker. These are the words that won Connor over in an initial message from Jackie on Bumble, the dating app. From there, Connor and Jackie first met at Lola's Garden restaurant in Ardmore, close to where Connor had been living at the time. Little did they know they were already connected in a major way, even before they had met - as they got to know each other at Lola's, they quickly learned that Jackie's sister Emily and Connor's friend Tian (both in the wedding party) were co-residents at Lankenau Medical Center. It was a sign that it was meant to be!

As they continued to discuss their similar love for biking, music, Eagles football - as well as many other nerdy topics that we won't bore you with - sparks flew and date #2 was a go! This time they met at KC's Alley in Ambler, right after a major snowfall. Connor was concerned about the roads (his mother's son) and texted Jackie ahead of the date to make sure she was comfortable driving to Ambler. Jackie, excited at the opportunity to see Connor again (I mean, who wouldn't be?), threw caution to the wind and responded that she felt comfortable and the date was still on!

Fast forward 19 months. Connor and Jackie had just finished up their second relay triathlon of the summer in Wildwood, NJ (Jackie definitely carried the team by doing two of the three legs - swimming and running). As the two of them relaxed on the beach in Ocean City, NJ, Connor asked if they wanted to go for a quick walk down the beach. Jackie, not knowing what was about to come next, thought nothing of it and agreed. It was during this walk when Connor got down on one knee and proposed! Little did Connor know that the spot where he proposed had a special place in Jackie's heart since that was the exact spot on the beach she used to go to when she was little. Connor then surprised Jackie with a night's stay in Cape May, NJ - the place where they have built special memories together over the years from several vacations and another relay triathlon that they also teamed up for.

Connor and Jackie couldn't be more excited and feel truly blessed to celebrate their marriage on 9/21/24 with all of their closest friends and family! This will be yet another moment in a long line of special memories they create as they continue to grow their life together.
