Max and Cosette technically go way back — all the way to Edgewood High School in Madison, where they were a grade apart and knew of each other but never shared a class or many words. Cosette’s one memory of Max? His long, slicked back hockey hair & alter-ego better known as “Flowseidon”... Meanwhile, Cosette was busy doing theater, singing, & tennis. In highschool, their paths never fully crossed in a meaningful way. That is, until years later. In college, when Cosette would visit friends at UW Madison, she unknowingly went to multiple football tailgates at Max’s college house… completely unaware he lived there. The missed connections continued. In the summer of 2020, a few months after graduating from UW Madison, Max moved to Ann Arbor to live with his LineLeap co-founders. That same summer, Cosette graduated from Oklahoma City University and was living in Michigan while performing at The Barn Theatre in Kalamazoo. Both were fairly new to the state (and the pandemic made meeting people basically impossible), until they reconnected on social media. After some DMs and long FaceTime dates, Max made the drive to Kalamazoo for their first real date — an arcade bar, nervous energy, and hours of nonstop conversation. After just three dates, Cosette moved back to Madison for grad school, and Max hit the road for a college tour with LineLeap. They stayed in contact and started dating officially that December. Over the last five years, they’ve road-tripped through college towns, have had more than one too many drinks in bars across the country, taken dream vacations all over the world, and have moved many times. One of those moves led them to New York City, including a true “sitcom era” living situation: a 4-bedroom apartment that they shared with Max’s co-founders Patrick (and his now-wife Heidi) and Nick. Five people, one apartment, zero privacy, and lots of takeout. What they thought would be a few months turned into two years of beautiful chaos, laughter, living room therapy sessions, and as Heidi and Cosette called it… “too much business talk”. Real life FRIENDS, but make it a start-up company. Finally, in October 2024, they moved into their own apartment — just the two of them. They’re still in the same building as their NYC crew (because we can’t get rid of each other that easily), and finally have a space with an appropriate amount of fridge space. Today, New York feels like home. Max and Cosette are busy building careers, chasing dreams, and becoming just a little boujee along the way (NYC will do that to you). They’re also proud godparents to their sweet nephews Barrett and Bowen, and make it back to Madison as much as possible — especially for holidays, birthdays, Badger football, and family hangs at the lake & river houses. They can’t wait to bring everyone they love together in one place for their wedding.

Edgewater Hotel Madison 

If you’re flying in for the wedding, the best airport to fly into is Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) in Madison. We’ve arranged a room block at The Edgewater Hotel in downtown Madison, which provides free airport pickup and drop-off for hotel guests. If you’re staying at The Edgewater, there will be a shuttle service to and from the reception at the Wisconsin Memorial Union, running prior to the reception and from 10–11:30 pm after the reception. Please note that there will not be a shuttle from the hotel to the ceremony at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. The church is about a 15-minute drive from downtown and offers easy parking on site. If you're staying at The Edgewater, they provide complimentary car service for guests, or you can easily take an Uber or Lyft. See more information on the Wedding Day Details Tab.
