Bryant Park has a wonderful Winter market that is open through the Winter season. Although our wedding is post-Christmas you can still enjoy hot cocoa, market shopping, and ice skating!
You can visit Mondays through Fridays from 11 am to 8 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 8 pm. They also have very clean public restrooms with a roped line and attendant.
Rockefeller Center is a great place to visit any time of the year. You can visit the Top of the Rock or the NBC Studios if you have time to kill. Also, there's a decent mall in the basement of the complex, which provides a nice escape from the elements with quick places to eat and public bathrooms.
In addition to being able to go up to the observation deck, the Empire State Building lobby on 5th Avenue provides a nice Art Deco escape from the elements. There's even a Starbucks Reserve at the corner of 34th and 5th if you've been dying to visit one.
We've never spent a penny at this Macy's and I doubt we ever will. But this Macy's does provide a nice place to stop when you're in Midtown and need to get away from the elements. It's iconic, well-decorated, and has clean public restrooms.
We've never been here, but we walk past it each time we walk to Rico's Bagels. And honestly, after looking at Google Images, we've been missing out. This looks like a great place to visit while you're in town.
If you have an eye for modern art, you will love MoMA. From Monet to Warhol, MoMA has enough to give you your money's worth.
This is our favorite bagel spot in NYC. Everything is good from the bagels, smear, bacon egg and cheese, and even their gluten free bagels!
This food hall is one of our favorite places to grab a quick tasty bite. You can find super yummy and affordable plates. Every time we go, we always try something new and we've never been let down!
These are pretty decent tacos for NYC, this is a place that has been recommended by multiple sources and it's right around the corner from the hotel!
Our friends introduced us to this niche Indian delicacy late one night and we keep going back! The rolls here are absolutely delicious. Wait times on your food can vary but it's all part of the experience.
One of, if not the best, Korean BBQs weve been to with reasonable prices and a great atmosphere! The lobby is small and semi-hidden due to some scaffolding, look for a person behind a podium next to an elevator in a well-lit entryway... it sounds sketchy, but its not! You will be pleasantly surprised.
P.S. Make sure to go up to the top floor option!
We've never been here ourselves, but this has been recommended by folks who have lived in the area for a while. It's right across the street from New York Penn Station, so it might be a great place to stop before heading back home or if you're arriving and hungry.
