We want to spend time with everyone while you're here so we're thinking of having a whole bunch of fun things to do the week of the wedding! If you are thinking you'll be here early and would like to attend, fill out the survey linked here to let us know if you and/or your family are interested in each activity.
If you can't make the events we're planning or want to take a day for yourselves while you're here, these are some things around town that we recommend.
Located right off College Ave across from CSU's campus is the annual flower gardens. A lovely spot for a picnic or an evening stroll. Features hundreds of different flowers in unique colors. It takes about an hour to walk through if you're going at a leisurely pace and don't stop to sit. Is free to visit and park along the streets nearby.
There's options for hiking and swimming or you can just go for a drive! Parking in the major lots is usually $10 for the day. Can also access Lory state park on the backside of the reservoir, which hosts most of the hiking trails. State park day passes are $10 per car.
Fort Collins is one of the best beer cities in the country and produces around 70% of Colorado's craft beer! New Belgium and Odell Brewing are the big ones, but some of our smaller local favorites are Hello Brew Co., Zwei, Mythmaker Brewing, and Maxline Brewing.
Guided Ghost tour around Old Town Fort Collins. You learn a little bit about the history of Fort Collins and see some spots that are (maybe) haunted.
For our families with young kiddos! Twin Shilo's park off Kechter and Ziegler has a neat playground and tons of open space for frisbee, soccer, etc. There's also City Park on the northwest side of town that has a playground and tons of open space.
Happening every Tuesday evening from about 5:00 to whenever the sun goes down. Approximately 20 food trucks local to Northern Colorado and live music all evening long.
