Dani and Avery met in June of 2020 when Avery liked one of Dani's photos on Hinge and she opened their online banter with a message that said, "Hi there!" (Not a unique start, we'll admit!) Soon after this they went on their first date which was a picnic in Clarendon park where they talked for hours until they both reluctantly agreed to call it a night and Avery walked Dani home. Due to meeting during the pandemic, their dates consisted of long walks together and going to each others apartments to watch TV and hang out, which lead to getting to know each other very well, very fast.

They moved in together in May of 2021 and have loved their sweet Chicago apartment ever since.

Dani has always been front and center at every show Avery plays, and Avery has never missed the chance to laugh at Dani's comedy shows. They're each other's Number 1 Fan! Through their years together they've melded their friend groups and got added to each other's family group chats. They've traveled together, seen punk shows and comedy shows, gone on lots of camping trips, have made and eaten a lot of good food, and have made each other laugh till they cry too many times to count.

On December 15th, 2023, Avery proposed at their apartment after a date night out while their friends, who had snuck in to set everything up, hid in their back stairwell waiting to come in and celebrate. Their adrenaline was so high that neither of them remembers what Avery said during the proposal, all they know is he got on one knee and asked her to marry him, and she said yes!

Dani and Avery have been surrounded by so much love from family and friends for their entire relationship and consider themselves extremely lucky. They can't wait to share their wedding with all of you!
