It had been a very tiring week at work, but we had Friday plans to pick up sushi from one of our favorite spots: Uroko. We arrived a bit early and ordered some matcha from Medici, then sat there while our food was being prepared. I asked Jennifer if there was anything she wanted to do after we ate, and she shrugged sleepily. "Nothing I can think of, but I'd probably say 'yes' to anything after sushi." She'd probably say yes to anything after sushi, eh? After a fantastic sushi dinner, I pulled out two little boxes. They were "blind boxes" with little figurines in them, but where you don't know exactly what you're going to get. I handed her one and said, "Since we didn't get each other anniversary gifts, I figured we could open these as anniversary gifts instead." Jennifer opens her box and pulls out a cute, pudgy little monster. She puts it on the table, looks up, and asks, "So what'd you get?" I pulled out the ring. And, true to her word, after eating sushi, she was willing to say "yes" to anything.

One of the best parts of throwing a wedding is getting to give special people special roles. We are extremely excited to have Daniel's cousin, Jason, as our officiant!

We almost chose this as our wedding venue. It has extensive walking trails and a beautiful fauna collection. It would be a great place to take kids for a day outdoors.

Our favorite farmers market happens every Sunday morning in the beautiful Mueller Park area. You can get some fantastic noms and check out a movie at the local Alamo Drafthouse.

This is our absolute favorite place for fantastic beers, tortas, and breakfast tacos. If you're looking for a fantastic morning coffee and that can turn into a phenomenal brunch beer, this is the place to go.
