The old saying goes: "All good things start at Spider Kelly's". This isn't a real saying but there is at least one really good thing that started at Spider Kelly's! In January 2020, Dan was meeting his law school friends at Spider Kelly's to watch the AFC & NFC Championships and Mollie was tagging along with her friend, Maddie, for a Sunday Funday with Maddie's law school friends. It was there that Dan and Mollie met for the first time. They immediately hit it off, exchanged numbers, and started on a series of dates over the next couple of weeks throughout DC and Arlington. It was only a couple of months where Mollie and Dan were able to date "in the wild" until March 2020 when the pandemic shutdown the world. Mollie and Dan spent all their time together during lockdown and their relationship continued to flourish. Once the world slowly started to open back up they were able to meet each other's families and friends. They moved in together in March 2021 and adopted a puppy together in October 2021, his name is Mister Beale.

It was a Sunday morning and Mollie and Dan were headed to a family brunch in Georgetown.....or so Mollie thought. Dan had arranged for other plans. As they approached the brunch location Dan guided Mollie along the Georgetown waterfront "to meet his family". Once in the correct spot Dan got down on one knee and popped the question. The answer was an obvious yes! After the engagement Dan and Mollie headed to The Berliner restaurant in Georgetown where all of their family and friends were waiting to celebrate the surprise with them! It was a perfect day and Dan successfully pulled off the best surprise for Mollie.
