Cherry Blossoms (Unpredictable drive with traffic): The famous cherry blossom trees may be prime for viewing as peak bloom occurs anywhere from late March - early April. The View of DC (25-min drive): The View of DC is a great alternative in Arlington, VA to get a spectacular view of the monuments/downtown DC without making the full trek downtown and while staying indoors. The views are truly amazing from this glass-enclosed high-rise. Just be sure to double check that that they are open before going as they sometimes close for private events. Arlington, VA bar scene (25-min drive/Uber): If the Mosaic District bars are a little too laid back for you and you are looking for a more social bar scene, we recommend Arlington. A couple of our favorite spots are O'Sullivans and Bronson Bierhall. There's a whole strip of bars next to O'Sullivans if you want to explore multiple options.
