Stephen and I will be in our wedding attire! The dress! The tux with tails... you don't have to come in a ball gown, but definitely take this as an opportunity to get dressed up! People on the first floor of the venue (not us) will be people coming off the street... The upper 2 floors (us), will clearly be going to a PARTY!!!! Woohoo!

Lacanau Ocean, (12 minutes west of Lacanau town), is a summer holiday destination, so as many places do in summer time, renting a cottage on Air B&amp;B or VRBO may have a minimum stay (usually a week). (Some hotels and 5 Star Glamping sites may not be open for 2026 bookings yet) If you are hoping to stay for just a few nights, there are a couple hotels we recommend below. One overlooking the beach (Cote D'Argent), one walking distance from our house (L'Auberge Canaulaise) but many more very cute options further back towards the lake (VitalParc quite close!) Many people are hoping to stay a walking distance away from the beach, but keep in mind, as long as you have a car, there are PLENTY of places available around the lake (Lac de Lacanau), which is a 7-15 minute drive from our place (depending how far around the lake you are :) ) For those who are even more adventurous and catering for kids - 5 Star "Camping" - walking distance into town. Located in the heart of the forest near Medoc, the Vitalparc Hotel is just 1.9 mi from the ocean and the Moutchic. It offers a fitness room and a heated, outdoor pool available from May to September. All rooms at Vitalpark feature a balcony, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Breakfast is available at the property. Guests can relax in the bar at the end of the day and enjoy meals made with local products in the on-site restaurant. The Vitalparc spa offers treatments from Monday to Saturday.
