By complete chance, they met at a fourth of July barbeque in Brooklyn where neither of them knew the host.

Bobby had reached out to his friend Patrick (who was his first Airbnb guest from his days of living in Puerto Rico) to ask for a suggestion for what to do on July 4th in NYC. Bobby had just recently moved to NYC and Patrick, who wasn't in NYC at the time, suggested his friend Luke's party and said "Tell them Patrick sent you."

Danielle went out on July 3rd with her (at the time) roommates Kristina and #Zach playing trivia with their friend Gaius. Gaius mentioned how he and his girlfriend would be attending a party the next day 2 doors down from the others and that they should stop by.

Bobby showed up to the party with his best friend and roommate Liz and Danielle showed up alone after nearly deciding to skip it. At some point in the evening Danielle sat down for "one more drink" around the fire pit. She caught Bobby's eye and he told Liz he wouldn't be leaving quite yet.

They went on their first date the following night and have been inseparable since.

Danielle and Bobby's favourite thing to do is see live music together and their favorite band to see is Phish. During the summer of 2023 Phish played 7 shows over the course of 10 days at Madison Square Garden. They were of course in attendance each night, with one night celebrating Bobby's 100th show and the final night of the run celebrating Danielle's 50th.

On that last night, Saturday, August 5th, they were to meet at the venue because Bobby had "surprise 50th show things" to do that afternoon. Danielle suspected nothing and was eating a slice of pizza quick before the show started. She was waiting in line for waters when she began getting texts from Bobby to meet up at their spot on the floor of the venue.

When Danielle walked in there was a crowd of their friends gathered there, which she was expecting, but after being distracted by their friend Harleigh for a few minutes she turned around to find Bobby on one knee, which she was NOT expecting. He said to her "You are my best friend, my favorite show buddy, my partner in crime, my favorite person, will you finally be my wife?" She said yes, they kissed (in their matching HOKAs), and you could hear the cheers all the way to the top sections of MSG.
