We are so exciting you are joining us for our day!
If you find yourselves with time to spare, we have plenty of on and off campus recommendations for things to do, see, and eat!
There is a self-guided audio tour on the ND Mobile app, under “Campus Tours” --> “Mobile Tour.” This starts at Eck Visitor Center and is narrated by Father Nate Willis (the football team chaplain and Priest-in-Residence at Sam's old dorm, Keough Hall). It goes from the Eck Visitor Center through South Quad, to the Sorin Statue, Main Quad, Golden Dome and Basilica, God Country Notre Dame Doorway, Grotto, Stonehenge, Touch Down Jesus and the Stadium. It’s 1.5 miles long and takes about an hour to walk.
From 10 am -2 pm on Saturday July 19th, Notre Dame offers a "North Tunnel Experience"
This includes
- North Tunnel Entrance
-Play Like a Champion Sign
-Limited field access on the North End Zone
-Visiting team tunnel/locker room
-Media Room
-Photo opportunities
The cost is $20 per person and tickets go on sale 2 weeks before the date of the tour

2nd floor on the south end of DuStu is where Sam first asked Delaney for a date! We studied there together every Sunday
Did you know the full name of Notre Dame is University of Notre Dame du Lac? (Univeristy of our Lady of the Lake!)
But if there are two lakes on campus why just a singular lake in the title?
The story is that it was winter when Father Sorin first visited the place that would soon be Notre Dame. He wrote to the founder of the Holy Cross order, Father Basil Moreau,
“Everything was frozen over. Yet it all seemed so beautiful. The lake, especially, with its broad carpet of dazzling white snow, quite naturally reminded us of the spotless purity of our August Lady whose name it bears, and also of the purity of soul that should mark the new inhabitants of this chosen spot.”
The wintery wonderland was so frozen it looked like there was only one lake, not two!
Head out to eat at the Lauber!
This is one of our favorite places to eat (and the site of our second date)
We recommend the rigatoni pasta or, if you're heading there for brunch, the breakfast pizza
24 h diner - affectionately referred to as Natio, Nick's, or Patio (rhyming w/ ratio)- this is the site of many a hungover brunch, or late-night munch
one of the best diners!
a gorgeous cocktail bar in downtown South Bend! if you're lucky you'll see the bartenders doing those cool tricks where they flip the shaker around a bunch
$2 Margs on Wednesdays means this is a favorite spot of the ND student body <3
