Mandy McCampbell - Best Woman
David’s second true love is Mandy. Mandy married David’s late best friend, Tray. Since Tray’s passing, Mandy & David have been there for each other through thick and thin, hangover and in health and literally tell each other EVERYTHING. Much to their disappointment, Devin was against marrying Mandy and David both on June 21.
Danielle Eason - Best Woman
David has known Danielle since middle school. They effortlessly bonded over their mutual love for Dairy Queen, Subway & Chinese food from the Great Wall (RIP Great Wall). Danielle was the first person David came out to. She may not be blood related, but there is no doubt, Danielle is David’s sister.
Cassie Kenton - Best Woman
Cass and Dev have been best friends since they met at 4-H Camp in Monticello, IL when they were teenagers. With more than two decades of friendship there are so many stories to share! And of course, their friendship circle wouldn’t be complete without Hilary Holdinghausen and Cole Huber.
Ashley Kenady - Best Woman
Ashley and Devin met in 2016 when Devin moved in under Ashley in a duplex apartment in Quincy, Illinois. Their friendship blossomed quickly when they found out that their senses of humor were so eerily similar that anyone on the outside looking in would question their sanity.
Aaron Poradzisz - Groomsman
Aaron and Devin met when they both began teaching 6th grade math in Rantoul. They both quickly found out they both enjoyed hockey- even though Aaron is a Chicago Blackhawks fan while Dev is a St. Louis Blues fan. The friendly rivalry made for good nights hanging out and drinking “proper” drinks.
Jared Gleason - Groomsman
Jared and Devin’s friendship spans ages from 4-H Memorial Camp days when Devin was a counselor and Jared a C.I.T. (Counselor in Training). Once Jared became apart of the camp staff- He and Devin were quick to team up and being pranking other counselors with random late night water gun assaults and filling cabins full of hundreds of balloons while campers and counselors were fast asleep! This led to being roommates for one glorious year in Champaign as well!
Jerry Johnson - Groomsman
David first met Jerry back when Jerry was working for the Capitol Theater. Their friendship grew much deeper when they teamed up, helping to form the “Queer-mitty” that put on the first ever Gay Pride parade and event in downtown Burlington. They both share a love for downtown Burlington and chatting on the phone…for hours.
Parker Vandeputte - Groomsman
David and Parker met back when Parker was working for 101.7 The Bull (the second best country radio station in Burlington). When David moved back to Iowa, he and Parker went on their first official man date and instantly became best friends. Little did they know, 2 years later they would realize they were both queer AF - Not with each other.
