Dillon and Kyle's story began in Newark, Delaware, where they met while working in the same department at the University of Delaware. Their journey together took them from Delaware to Dillon's home state of Indiana, where Kyle pursued his PhD and Dillon began working for the Indiana University Alumni Association, to the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina, where they live currently and work for the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Both fitness enthusiasts, they have completed seven marathons between them and two triathlons (Kyle, the competitive one, would like noted he finished four of those marathons and both triathlons). They trained for and completed two marathons together, the first of which served as the soft launch of their relationship.

Both are lovers of travel and feel grateful to have friends and family in so many fun places to reconnect with while on vacation (the fact that most also have a guest room is a helpful bonus).

On most fall weekends, you can find them either in a stadium or in front of a tv cheering on one of their favorite football teams. Dillon in particular cannot promise he won't check the scores on his phone at least once or twice during the wedding.
