Where is the wedding located?

The San Onofre Beach Club is aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, located just south of San Clemente, California. Access to the base is restricted, and each guest will need to provide Dustin and Shannon with background information ahead of the wedding?

Can we bring our children?

We know many of our guests have little ones they would love to bring along, unfortunately we are only able to accommodate the children in the wedding party at our reception.

Where should we stay?

If you plan on a short stay, late Friday to early Sunday, it might be best you stay in San Clemente. You have the shortest drive to and from the airport, and its also the closest town to the venue. You can catch a Lyft/Uber to the wedding or drive. The Hotel Miramar San Clemente had rates, as of December, for $150/night. If you plan on making a trip out of the wedding, we highly recommend staying in Encinitas. It is a fun surf town on the coast with lots to see and do during the day as well as fun nightlife and restaurants. We will more than likely be hanging around town the week of the wedding. Also, as of December, the Days Inn by Wyndham Encinitas Moonlight Beach has rates of $80/night, and it's walking distance from the downtown area. Carlsbad is one town to the north, and is also a great place to stay. Last but not least there's Oceanside. This is the city we live in and is also right on the coast. It's an up-and-coming area, and if you stay near the beach, it's a walkable city with lots of shops and restaurants. It's similar to Encinitas and Carlsbad, but it's a bit "grungier". Hotel prices there, as of December, ranged from $100-200+ per night. Guests are also welcome to grab a short term rental wherever they see fit, especially if you know others in attendance!

What airport should we fly into?

It depends on where you are staying. John Wayne Airport is located in Santa Ana, and is the closest to the wedding venue, which is at the north end of Camp Pendleton and borders San Clemente. If you plan on staying in San Clemente then we would recommend this airport. It's an easy airport to navigate and it's a 40-minute drive to the venue. If you plan on staying to the south of Base, we recommend San Diego International Airport. It's approximately a 35 minute drive to Encinitas and 45 minutes to Oceanside. Flying into San Diego will likely be cheaper than John Wayne. Last but not least, there's Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). If you plan on making a trip out of the event (arriving days before and leaving days after the wedding) and are landing during off-peak traffic hours, this could be the airport for you, because it's often the cheapest option. However, traffic in and out of L.A. is more often than not a nightmare. Personally, we only fly in and out of there as a last resort.

What should we wear?

Attire for the celebration will be casual!! Sundresses/rompers for the ladies and Hawaiian shirts for the dudes, including the bride and groom. Beach vibes all around.
