Egypt & Cherish

142 Days To Go!

Please carefully read and pay attention to all the details provided below.

As we plan for our wedding celebration, we understand that some guests may be attending a wedding for the first time, while others might be unsure of certain wedding etiquette. To ease the stress for both the brides and our guests, we've put together a helpful list of Do's and Don't. Please take a moment to review, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us!

Don’t Wear White Pink Gray or Ivory: Please avoid wearing colors that may compete with the bride's dress.

These are traditional wedding dress colors and should always be avoided when attending a wedding unless a special request was made by the couple.

Additionally, please refrain from wearing any style of dress in any color that could be mistaken for a wedding dress.

We want everyone to feel confident and stylish at the wedding, but please keep in mind that this is the bride's special day. Let's celebrate their love without overshadowing them. Feel free to show off your amazing style, but let's keep it elegant and respectful so the focus stays on the happy couple.

OR MEET DOUBLE BRIDEZILLAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Don't for the Ceremony:

Don't walk down the aisle upon arrival. Kindly make your way to the end of the seating area and move inward. Our brides, Cherish and Egypt, will be the first to walk the aisle, and we want to keep the flower arrangements looking beautiful for their special moment.

Please leave the first two rows of seating empty, as they are reserved for family members.

Don't wear large hats or anything that might block the view of the guests behind you. Let everyone enjoy the ceremony!

Do sit towards the end of the aisle if you're taller, so you don’t block anyone’s view behind you.

don't bring any large bags or personal items to the ceremony area, as space will be limited and we want to keep the area clear and beautiful.

Please adhere to the dress code: Our wedding has a strict attire policy, and we kindly ask all guests to follow it. If your attire does not align with the dress code, you may be asked to change or unfortunately, leave the event. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the elegance and color theme of our special day.

Don’t Bring Uninvited Guests: Only those mentioned on the guest list are welcome at all wedding events.

Don’t Arrive Late: The ceremony will begin promptly, so please plan to arrive early to ensure you’re seated in time. If you arrive late, we kindly ask that you join us at the reception instead. We can't wait to celebrate together!

Don’t Use Phones During the Ceremony:

We will have professional photographers and videographers capturing the special moments of the bride and guests, as we want to ensure every detail is beautifully preserved. To achieve this, we kindly request that you keep your phones on silent and refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. This is an unplugged wedding, and we believe that cell phones in wedding photos can detract from the beauty of the moment. There will be a designated time for guests to take photos after the ceremony at the ceremony location. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Don’t Share Ceremony or Reception Photos on Social Media Without Permission: Please wait for the couple to share the first images before posting anything online we will give the green light to when you may post on social media.

First Dance Etiquette

We kindly ask that you remain seated during the bride's first dance. To keep this moment intimate, please refrain from using cell phones, as this is an unplugged moment. Our photographers will capture these special memories, and we will ensure the photos and videos are shared with everyone after the event.

If you have children attending, we kindly request that they remain seated during the dance. Should they become restless, we ask that you step outside the reception area until the dance concludes. This will help us avoid any interruptions during this special moment. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Don’t Bring Gifts to the Venue: We prefer gifts to be sent to our home rather than bringing them to the venue so see our registry for our gift options

Don’t Drink Excessively: as we understand this is an all-inclusive trip Enjoy yourself, but please drink responsibly if you get too intoxicated you will be asked to leave the festivities. don't leave your drink unattended.

Don’t Make Speeches Without Prior Arrangement: All speeches should be coordinated in advance with the couple. we have a large wedding party and have requested who will be doing the speeches.

Important Safety Guidelines for Your Stay in Mexico:

While we are excited to celebrate this special time together, it’s important to keep safety in mind as we are in another country. Please review the following guidelines carefully:

Excursions – do not book or pay for any excursions at the airport or through unverified sources. Only make reservations through the resort concierge, as they provide legitimate and safe experiences. We want to ensure that no one falls victim to scams.

Please be aware that the representatives at the Mexican airport can be very aggressive and pushy. We advise you to ignore them and continue walking to our designated area for the charter bus to the resort

Transportation – Avoid using taxis or ride-sharing services like Uber. The resort provides reliable transportation if you choose to leave, available at an additional cost. Additionally, a complimentary charter bus for pick-up and drop-off at the airport is included with your reservation.

Travel in Groups–If you plan to leave the resort, please travel with a group to help ensure everyone’s safety. Additionally, make sure to book taxis and transportation exclusively through the hotel, as they offer a private service with both cars and vans. Thank you for prioritizing safety during your stay!

Behavior– Please refrain from any aggressive or violent behavior, whether on or off the resort. Any such behavior will result in immediate removal from the resort and could lead to arrest. We have seen it happen a few times on our vacations, and no one wants to end up in a Mexican jail.

Respect – Do not engage in aggressive behavior toward wedding guests, resort guests, or anyone off the resort. Such actions can result in legal trouble, and again, jail time in Mexico is something to avoid at all costs.

Personal Items – The brides and The resort are not responsible for your personal belongings. Please use the in-room safe to store valuables and keep important items close to you at all times.

Illegal Substances –We strongly advise against purchasing or using any illegal substances. These substances can be extremely dangerous and may even be fatal. Additionally, possessing them can lead to serious legal consequences, including jail time. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, so please exercise caution.

Privacy– Never share your resort or room number with anyone on or outside the resort, especially if you’re leaving the property. This ensures your safety and privacy.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can help create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone while celebrating in Mexico. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
