Neil and I met at Marquette University in Spanish class! We were both Spanish minors and shared a couple of courses in Lalumiere Hall. We became friends while working on projects together and also living right near each other.

On National Marquette Day in 2018 (the greatest holiday in the world for those of you who are unfamiliar), we ran into each other at the pre-party at Loaded Slate. We ended up talking, dancing, and laughing the entire night. The next day, the banter moved to non stop texting. But unfortunately Neil had to go back to Minneapolis where he was finishing his Masters.

It was on Neil's first trip back to visit me where he officially asked me to be his girlfriend after racing each other home from Jack's American Pub! The next year was jam packed with action filled weekends hosting in our respective cities, important and successful meetings of families, and lots of long Facetime calls.

After graduating from his Master's Program, Neil moved to Milwaukee and Murphy and I were ecstatic! We immediately felt that this was the city we were meant to be in together.

It was February of 2022, on our five year anniversary (and also National Marquette Day), that Neil asked me to marry him. We were taking a weekend trip to our favorite getaway spot, Door County. Ever since, we've been showered with so much love by family and friends near and far. If you've read this entire thing, thank you!
