GREAT question! We don't want anyone to be bored or confused on what to do during unplanned times. Here are some suggestions:

Friday before Welcome Party:

Check out some restaurants in the Third Ward area (walkable to the Welcome Party venue). Some of our favorites are Onesto (fancier Italian restaurant), Benelux (casual American), and Blue Bat Cantina (modern Mexican). If you have a time crunch, you can always stop by the Public Market to pick up some food from one of their many stands. We also will be providing appetizers at the Welcome Party so don't get too stuffed.

Saturday before Ceremony: We don't want anyone to be hangry at the ceremony! Grab brunch within walking distance of your hotel at Cafe Benelux (Elena's favorite), Sweet Diner, The Wicked Hop, or Milwaukee Public Market. This would also be a good time to check out the lake or the ginormous Giannis mural on Wisconsin Avenue (in between Jackson and Van Buren Street).

Saturday in between Ceremony and Reception:

We will have shuttles that will take you back to your hotels if you are hoping to freshen up or relax a little bit. Otherwise, check out some of our restaurants and bars in our Things to Do page! Marquette University's campus is just to the left of the St. James, so if you want to visit the infamous bar where we named our dog after (Murphy's Irish Pub), we would love to hear your review. Actually, keep that to yourself please.
