Darryl: It all started on August 29, 2017. It was one of those days where nothing seemed extraordinary at first, but as soon as I saw her, I knew something was about to change. I was meeting a mutual friend to work out, and Ellah was out shopping. Honestly, I didn’t expect much, but the moment we caught eyes, it was like the world paused for a second.

Ellah: It sounds cliché, but I really felt like something special was happening. We just clicked. You know how some connections feel effortless? This was one of those. And from the moment we met, Darryl started calling me “wifey,” and, I’ll admit, I nicknamed him “hubby” right back. It just felt right.

Darryl: I remember thinking, “This is the one.” We didn’t waste any time—we spent the next few weeks getting to know each other better, and as fate would have it, we found that we had so much in common. Ellah wanted to get serious about her fitness, and being a personal trainer, I was more than happy to help. That was just the beginning...

Ellah: It was so easy to be around him. We shared laughs, workouts, and before long, we both knew that this wasn’t just some random connection—it was something much deeper. By January 1, 2019, we made it official, but honestly, from the start, we both knew we were meant to be together.

Darryl: Then, on February 15, 2020, I popped the question. I couldn’t wait another second to make her my forever. She said yes, and we were on top of the world. But right after that, the world started changing. The pandemic hit, and everything we planned was put on hold.

Ellah: That was a tough time for everyone, but even then, I knew we’d be okay. We leaned on each other, and soon, our biggest surprise came—Darryl and I found out we were expecting! In September 2021, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world. It was the best thing that ever happened to us.

Darryl: Then came the next big chapter—we bought our first home together. It was a dream come true, and it really felt like we were building a life that was ours. Every day since then has been filled with love, laughter, and so much happiness.

Ellah: And now here we are, about to say “I do” and start this new chapter of our journey. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with the people who’ve supported us along the way. Our hearts are full, and we’re so grateful for all the memories we’ve made so far—and for the future we’ll continue to build together.
