Whale Watch

SATURDAY, 10:00 AM (meet at 9:30 AM)DOLPHIN FLEET WHALE WATCHMacMillan Pier, Provincetown On Saturday morning at 10AM we set sail from Provincetown on the Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch, hoping to see humpback, finback and minke whales. We will meet at the boat on Provincetown's MacMillan Pier no later than 9:30AM, as the boat will board around that time. 🐋 We have secured a group rate and prices are listed below. GETTING THERE

If you aren't driving from home to Cape Cod, Logan International Airport (BOS) is the closest major airport. From there, a few options: ✈️ Puddle-jumper flight on Cape Air from Logan to Provincetown Municipal Airport. Please note, these are small 8 seat planes! Travel time: 30 min. 🛳 Provincetown Fast Ferry from Boston Seaport. Check schedules and rates <a href="https://baystatecruisecompany.com/schedule-fares/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>. Travel time: 90 min. 🚙 Rent a car. While you won't need a car for wedding weekend activities, as all will take place between Wellfleet and Provincetown and we'll have shuttles to/from the venue, this gives you the most flexibility to explore! Travel time (from Logan): 2 hr 32 min + traffic.

Please note, hotels and homes book up far in advance so consider booking sooner than later. We've listed a few hotels with special rates in Eastham (town just before Wellfleet), Wellfleet and Provincetown, along with some others to explore. Feel free to book one of the many inns, B&amp;Bs, or cottages that suit your needs – just note cancellation policies can be fairly strict. There will be wedding day transportation provided from one or two locations in Provincetown (exact locations TBD) to the venue in Wellfleet, and then back to Provincetown after the wedding.

Rate is valid for any booking 9/15 - 9/19. Room rates are based on single or double occupancy, poolside room with two queen beds. Larger rooms are available for $20.00+ tax&nbsp;more than the quoted rate above. All reservations based on availability. Rate valid if booked by 8/23/22. Four Points by Sheraton Eastham Cape Cod

Ocean Park Inn is right next door to the Four Points, and the two hotels share amenities.&nbsp;The rate is $99.00+ tax&nbsp;per room for Thursday 9/15 &amp; Monday 9/19, and $169.00+ tax for Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9/16 - 9/18. Room rate based on single or double occupancy, one room with two double beds. Larger rooms with two queen beds are available for $10.00+ tax&nbsp;more than the quoted rate above. All reservations based on availability. Rate valid if booked by 8/23/22. Cancellation Policy is one week prior to arrival.

Ocean Park Inn Cape Cod

This hotel is in Wellfleet and is newly renovated. The discount is $10 off the going rate, with rates increasing as occupancy increases. The group&nbsp;code will work for any booking from 9/12 - 9/22 with the 2-night minimum stay requirement.&nbsp;

Endless Coast, A Boutique Hotel

This recently renovated waterfront hotel at the east end of Provincetown has several room types to choose from. All reservations are first come first serve. Call hotel directly or book online and use the code above. Deposit and cancellation policies on their website apply. Walk time to Provincetown's MacMillan Pier (center of Ptown): 30 min.

Harbor Hotel Provincetown

"Old Provincetown Hotel" –&nbsp;iconic location at the west end of Ptown. Note that rooms have not been renovated recently. If calling to book, mention the Kaplan/Gaspar Wedding. You can also book directly via their website, however they mentioned issues with their promo code system so just add a comment with the code and they'll manually adjust the rate. Family-owned, BYOB (!!), best fried scallops on the Cape. <a href="https://www.nps.gov/caco/index.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The National Seashore</a> –&nbsp;The National Seashore Beaches are Coast Guard and Nauset Light in Eastham, Marconi in Wellfleet, Head of the Meadow in Truro, and Race Point and Herring Cove in Provincetown. Entry fees may apply at these, but all beaches on the Cape are beautiful (we're fond of the bay beaches too). As you may have read, the sharks are a real and increasing problem so please be safe! <a href="https://www.nps.gov/caco/planyourvisit/calendar.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Guided tours and events via NPS</a> – Check the National Park Service Calendar for free guided walking, canoe and kayak tours and more to learn about Cape Cod. <a href="https://www.nps.gov/caco/planyourvisit/guiding-lights.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lighthouses</a> – Visit Highland Light in Truro or Race Point in Provincetown to see some beautiful history. <a href="https://www.pilgrim-monument.org/pilgrim-monument/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pilgrim Monument</a> – Learn a bit more about Cape Cod's history from this 252-foot granite monument. The grounds have recently been redone and provide stunning views of Ptown. <a href="https://www.nps.gov/caco/planyourvisit/guide-to-trails.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Hiking Trails</a> – Nauset Marsh and Great Island are favorites in Wellfleet, and the Pamet Area Trails in Truro offer stunning views. <a href="https://trurovineyardsofcapecod.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Truro Vineyards &amp; South Hollow Spirits Distillery</a> –&nbsp;Bring snacks and sit at one of their picnic tables while sipping wine or a cocktail with one of their locally-distilled spirits (the Dry Line Gin gets our vote!) <a href="https://www.wellfleetcinemas.com/drive-in-theatre/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Wellfleet Drive-In Theatre</a> –&nbsp;Enjoy a movie under the stars at this classic drive-in built in 1957. It’s the last of its kind on Cape Cod, and one of about 300 left in the country. <a href="https://www.nps.gov/caco/learn/nature/index.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Flora &amp; Fauna</a> – A note from Andre, and in no particular order, look out for: wild blueberries, cranberries, cat tails, seals, sharks (see earlier note), bob-whites, and most importantly...whales! Sunrise &amp; Sunset –&nbsp;You can see both sunrise and sunset over water on Cape Cod. See sunset at Race Point, and for you early bob-whites 😉 try the Pamet Trails and those around Head of the Meadow beach for sunrise. Bike Rentals –&nbsp;Check out Provincetown Bike Rentals and The Bike Shack if you're looking to ride around Ptown.

Explore Wellfleet –&nbsp;Known for its art galleries and oysters, find everything you need for the perfect afternoon in and around Wellfleet. Our top pick for lunch: Mac's on the Pier for a lobster roll! <a href="https://www.captainsdaughters.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Captain's Daughters</a> – A sweet shop in Ptown with a great tea selection and some more contemporary gifts. <a href="https://tim-scapes.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Tim-Scapes</a> –&nbsp;Tim started making duct tape art around Ptown and now sells really unique prints of iconic places. A Note from Us

The year is 2013...

We met working for José Andrés. Ellen was a marketing specialist at Jaleo Crystal City and Andre was running Pepe Food Truck, which operated out of the same restaurant. Only later would we learn that we grew up just 10 minutes from each other in New Jersey, and our parents still live that close today! A mutual friend told Ellen that Andre "thought she was cute" (wow, we really were in our young 20's! Thanks for that, Hannah Lobel). Andre worked up the courage to ask Ellen to join a "group hang," then we made follow up plans for a real date. Andre came on that date with a head injury from a scary car accident, but concussed or not he was committed! That first date was pretty great — we spent time at what would become our favorite farmers market, went to Union Market and the Humane Society to play with cats (foreshadowing much?!), did a ThinkFoodGroup dine around, and the rest was history. Speaking of history, here's a short photo timeline of ours.
