Q + A

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Yes! Both events will be at Everhart Gathering Place.

How do I RSVP? When should I RSVP by?

Thank you for RSVPing by March 8th. We are so, so excited to celebrate with you. If you’ve had a change of plans and need to change your RSVP, please reach out to Ellie or Ryan directly.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, your envelope would list "(your name) & Guest." When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.

Are kids welcome?

Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate everyone's children at our wedding due to restricted numbers and space. This pertains to children of all ages including infants, toddlers, kids, and teens. We hope that you will see this as an opportunity for a date night and will come enjoy the party with us!

Is there a dress code?

Yes! The dress code is Cocktail attire. We recommend suit and tie & cocktail dresses. Women, please refrain from wearing white or shades of white. No jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers, please. The ceremony will take place indoors, in a greenhouse-esque space. The short walk from the ceremony to the cocktail hour is paved, but outdoors. We will have outdoor seating and space heaters available during cocktail hour for those who would like to enjoy the beautiful, Ohio air. Please be cognizant of the weather forecast.

Where will I sit?

The ceremony will be open seating, apart from those reserved for family members of the bride and groom, so please sit wherever you please. Upon entering the reception, you will be able to find your name and designated table number on our seating chart.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. We are asking that all phones are on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture our special day and we'd hate for their photos to have your phones in them. After the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos as you'd like. We will be using the "POV Cam" app which allow guests to upload all of their photos to a shared gallery - access to the gallery will be provided via QR code on the day-of.

What do I do if I'm late for the ceremony?

The ceremony will be starting promptly at 5pm. We recommend guests arrive by 4:15-4:30pm so there is time to mingle and find a seat. If you happen to be late, our coordinator will let you know if they are still allowing guests in or if you will need to wait until the ceremony is over. In that case, you will still be able to attend the reception, so hang tight, The Newtons will see you after the ceremony! Thank you for understanding!

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely!

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is complimentary guest parking.

Since there will be alcohol, what do we do about driving?

We DO NOT want anyone drinking and driving. Everhart (of course) agrees. As such, they will be allowing guests to leave their vehicles overnight at the venue and pick them up the next morning by 12:00pm (noon). We recommend you take advantage of our pre-scheduled shuttles if you plan on drinking. Lyfts/Ubers are sparse in this area.

Should we bring a gift?

The most important thing for you to bring is yourself - we are so excited and grateful that you are sharing our special day with us. Gifts are by no means required, but if you would like to get us something, we would really appreciate any contribution to go towards our New Home Fund, which is accessible on the "Registry" page. If you prefer to purchase a gift, we have also linked our registries on Amazon and Crate & Barrel.

Are there hotels nearby?

Absolutely. We have reserved a block of rooms at the TownePlace Suites in Mansfield, Ohio. These rooms are first come, first served. There is also a Fairfield Inn & Suites just across the street, allowing for you to still take advantage of our shuttle service to the venue. Additional hotel options are available in Bucyrus, Ohio, as well as several Airbnbs.
