After four eventful years at Case Western Reserve - - a global pandemic, loss of loved ones, long hours of work and school, a beer or two at Dave's Cosmic Subs -- finding love was the last thing on Ellie or Ryan's minds, especially on a silly dating app. A left swipe here, a right swipe there, a funny pick-up line or two, dumb emojis, and what do you know . . .

On March 11th, 2022, Ryan found himself playing in his last collegiate basketball game. A night of lasts followed by a major first -- meeting Ellie, his soon to be forever friend and love of his life. From that night on, they were inseparable.

Hours turned into days, formals turned into movie nights, and a budding romance turned into a beautiful relationship. Mutual friends joked that they'd never seen Ryan like this with a girl and that Ellie had never been happier. On May 7th, 2022, Ryan jokingly took Ellie's hand and asked, "May I court thee?" And the rest was history.

Ryan and Ellie have spent nearly every day together since. Every day full of love, laughter, and pure bliss. Ryan found engineering work in Euclid, Ohio to accompany Ellie in her nursing career at University Hospitals, the two settling down in Mayfield Heights to start their own little life together.

Day-to-day life remained exciting and full of joy. They bounced around the country, spending time with friends and family, visiting new places, enjoying life - together. On January 27th, 2024, in the comfort of their townhome, Ryan proposed, marking the start of forever (and marking the start of Ellie's tireless solo mission of planning their wedding day ... but, details.)
