~ Red Rocks is an extraordinary park and open-air amphitheater located in Morrison, Colorado, about 5 miles away from Golden (where we are staying). From hiking to concerts to yoga and more, Red Rocks is definitely worth the visit.

~ Three Sisters is Justin's favorite hiking trail. It's a little west in Evergreen. It's a moderate hike but you can make it more fun by climbing some rocks along the way!

~ A walk around Evergreen Lake is Ellie and her parents' favorite activity. There is a flat, easy 1-mile walk around the lake - surrounded by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Grab an ice cream from Baskin-Robins at the halfway point or a coffee at EverBean or Muddy Buck!

~ There are numerous hiking trails within 30 minutes of Denver. This site provides you with information about a number of hikes that are just outside the city.

~ Do you like beer? Go visit Coors Brewery and do a Tour!

~ Rocky Mountain National Park, in Estes Park is about an hour and a half from Denver. Be sure to look at the Park’s website for specific information about the timed entry reservation system that is in place.

~ There is a home game for the University of Colorado (CU) Buffaloes football game on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024. Go Buffs!
