Alexis and Emily met as coworkers the summer of 2021. Alexis just moved away from home to pursue her career in Arizona. Funny enough - Alexis thought Emily dressed dorky at work, and Emily never bat an eye twice! It wasn't until another coworker started inviting Emily to game nights, shopping trips, and holiday festivities that we started to get to know each other. We bonded over the Netflix show, The Circle, to make up reasons to text message.

It was electric when they were together. Friends nights turned into 2am couch talks about every little detail of their lives. They grew such a deep connection and admiration for each other. Contrary to popular belief, Emily made a lot of flirtatious gestures hoping Alexis would take the hint. Yet Alexis was too respectful and scared Emily would report to HR (lol). Overtime it was undeniable to resist the emotional love that was developing below their friendship; and the days were better because they had each other. Alexis finally asked Emily to be her girlfriend.

Call us crazy, but we sorta bought a puppy together (literally weeks into dating). Taco may test our patience, but he is our spoiled fur baby! He loves to cuddle and never leaves Emily's side.

A puppy's 1st Christmas is just as important as your first born child's...when you don't have kids yet.

We became more inseparable and head over heels for each other. Gender norms no longer existed because it became second nature to protect and take care of one another as equal partners. There are always fresh flowers in the house - just try to guess from who!

We started traveling a bunch together. Enjoying new cultures and trying new things from skiing to skydiving.

Emily humbly accepted a new role in a different industry. She enjoys bringing the dogs to the office and receiving unique opportunities (like this marketing campaign ad!)

Celebrated our 1st anniversary in the "happiest place on earth" to experience the Oogie Boogie Bash for Emily's favorite time of the year - Halloween!

Road tripping to Texas every couple months to spend time with Alexis's family and visit for holidays/special occasions.

Alexis worked her butt off to receive a promotion and earn a seat at Super Bowl LVII. Go Chiefs!

Emily closed on a house to start building a home together. There has been nothing more priceless than hosting loved ones at our place!

Some of our most treasured memories are slow dancing at dive bars or kareoke singing "Somebody's Problem" by Morgan Wallen to each other.

Our lives wouldn't be as special without people to share it with. Sometimes we call our closest friends our chosen family.

Attended the 19th Annual International Women's Business Symposium representing our companies as guest speakers. Alexis was not a fan of wearing heels!

Celebrated Pride Month at Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite 2023

Our Double Marriage Proposal: Alexis planned a vacation to Cancun for our 2 year anniversary, where we also stayed at TRS Coral Hotel. We accidentally planned our proposals on the same day. Even though Emily popped the question first at midnight, Alexis engraved her ring box with the same date! Emily booked a private room decorator and gifted her a storybook of their entire relationship. Alexis booked a private photographer the next afternoon to capture her live proposal. Unfortunately the island was rained out, so she quickly arranged a romantic dinner at a French restaurant surrounded by rose petals and candles. It was the most special 24 hours and we wouldn't have wanted our engagement to unfold any other way!

Spent our actual anniversary walking in the Phoenix Pride parade with Emily’s company. We were accompanied by the world’s biggest LGBTQ+ allies, Mariah and Tom! We were everyone’s favorite float because the kids wanted to pet all the dogs and the pet parents wanted our free treats! Most importantly, it was special to look around and feel proud to celebrate all loves - families supporting families…friends supporting friends…strangers supporting strangers (shout out to the adults with “Free Hug” shirts) ♡ ̆̈

Extended Alexis's Vegas birthday trip to visit the chapel (and almost got married on 11/11). Thank you to Mariah and Linda for this EPIC engagement gift! Elvis Presley hosted our ceremony - pronouncing us "Barbie and Barbie" since we hadn't signed a legal marriage certificate yet.

Alexis received a job promotion where she would travel frequently, so Emily wanted another pup. We adopted Pippin into our family from AZ HARTT Animal Rescue. More dogs = more love 🐾
