Accommodation

Your Options

There are a number of houses available on the farm for us to book for the Friday and Saturday night and we'd love as many people as possible to stay on the farm with us. There are also a couple of other farms close by that we can book that come recommended by the owners of Rosenhanska. All of the above is shared accommodation so you may find yourself sharing a kitchen, living area and bathroom with other guests (the houses are huge so there is plenty of space despite sharing). If you're happy with this and would like to stay on the farm, Tom and I will do a group booking and will ask that you pay us.

You can find a full price breakdown (including food and drink) and photo's of the houses at the bottom of this page so that you can make an informed decision about what will suit you best.

If you'd prefer not to stay on the farm, the closest town (Nykoping) with hotels is around 30 minutes away by car. There is no public transport between the town and the venue so driving would be the only option. If you hire a car from the airport and forego drinking at the Welcome Party on the Friday and also at the Wedding, driving to and from the hotel would be easy peasy. We've had look at taxi's and they cost around £25 one way and you would need to pre-book as the venue really is in the sticks. Please keep in mind that there's the Welcome Party on the Friday, the Wedding on the Saturday and breakfast on the Sunday, so you'd be looking at six taxis in total (there and back three times). Staying in a hotel is absolutely do-able if you'd prefer, it'll just take a bit more coordination on your part.

Price Breakdown

Accommodation at Rosenhanksa or neighbouring farm:

We appreciate we're not getting married in the most easily accessible place so we are really keen to make the weekend as effortless as we can for you. If you decide to stay on the farm, we're hoping that once you're there, you don't have to venture out to get any supplies in the form of food and drinks. As part of this package (who do we think we are, a travel agency?), we'll stock the fridges and cupboards in the houses with food and drink that should see you through your stay. This will include food to make lunch on the Friday, breakfast and lunch on the Saturday before the Wedding, any snacks you might want, soft drinks and a bottle of wine and a few beers.

So, for two nights accommodation and for all of the food and drink above, we'll be asking for £110pp.

We have to stock the bar ourselves for the Welcome Party and the Wedding and to help us cover a portion of that cost, we'll be asking everyone for £40pp. There's no real way for us to charge per drink other than cash, which isn't ideal to have to bring home and convert, so this blanket payment is the easiest way to tackle it. If you've heard anything about Sweden before, I'm sure you've heard that it's notoriously expensive so we hope you understand us adding this cost on.

The total for staying at the farm from Friday-Sunday, including all food and drink is £150pp.

For those of you who decide staying at the farm isn't for you, we'll still be asking for £40pp which will help us provide an open bar on the Friday and Saturday night.
