Emily and Blessing met in 2018 at Michigan State University, Blessing had just graduated and Emily was finishing her 3rd year. Blessing took Emily to Maru, her favorite sushi restaurant where she got a delicious roll and he got chicken teriyaki. Even though he was allergic to fish (and didn't tell Emily then) he wanted her to have her favorite food. They have been putting each other first ever since...

Over the course of their relationship Emily and Blessing have shared many moves, travels, and memories. Some of their favorites include a beautiful weekend exploring Chicago for the first time together, hiking trails in Hocking Hills Ohio when Emily lived in Cleveland, traveling to Arizona in the middle of August to see Emily's family and every time Blessing dragged Emily to see the Pistons lose (builds character). And of course, many more memories that they can share with you on the big day.

Blessing had been cooking up his master plan for months. He went to multiple stores with his friend, Orwell, searching for the perfect ring. When he found the ring he only showed it to his mom and to Emily's sister, Kara, who was to keep the plan secret. Finally, they made it to Traverse City to celebrate Emily's graduation and Blessing's birthday. They were on the 3rd stop of a wine tour at Brys Winery when Blessing walked Emily through the vineyards and proposed in private. She said YES of course, and the rest is history.
